Card Member Free Checked Bags

As a benefit of Card Membership, you can check your first bag free on Delta flights booked with your Card, saving up to $90 on a round-trip Delta flight per person. For a family of four that’s a potential savings of up to $360 per round-trip flight.^{1, Go to footer note}

Starting June 4, 2026, Basic Card Members can also check a Second Checked Bag Free on domestic Delta flights, unlocking even more packing flexibility and savings.²

• Include your SkyMiles number in your reservation by providing it when booking your flight, adding it when checking in, or looking up your itinerary and clicking “Add Loyalty Program #.”
• The first bag of each passenger in the reservation will be automatically waived of fees at check-in.
• This benefit can only be used with bags that are not overweight or oversize under Delta’s applicable rules. See below for terms and conditions.
• This benefit is not available when the passenger is already receiving one or more checked bags free due to itinerary purchased, Medallion Status or active duty military status.

How does Second Checked Bag Free work?

• The second bag of each Basic Card Member traveling in the reservation will be automatically waived of fees at check-in.
• Only domestic, Delta-operated flights are eligible.
• This benefit can only be used with bags that are not overweight or oversize under Delta’s applicable rules. See below for terms and conditions.
• This benefit is not available when the passenger is already receiving two or more checked bags free due to itinerary purchased, Medallion Status or active duty military status.
