Located in the San Jose del Cabo area of Los Cabos, Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is one of the busier airports in Mexico. Housing two terminals –Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights –the airport is simple to navigate. Visitors will need to plan for transportation to their chosen lodging in the area, with rental cars and private transport available.

All food options within the airport accept either pesos or American dollars, with plenty of dining and duty-free areas to enjoy.

Los Cabos can offer different vibes for each visitor –whether you’re looking for a quieter escape like San Jose del Cabo, or seeking a livelier scene like Cabo San Lucas. Either location offers a plethora of resort and hotel options, as most visitors take advantage of the great weather and beach location of this tropical vacation destination.

Water sports, like snorkeling and scuba diving ,are popular activities off the coast, primarily around El Arco, or The Arch, which attracts tourists daily to its dramatic cliffs. Fishing charters and whale watching tours are available from Cabo San Lucas. A golf destination as well, all areas of Los Cabos feature spectacular golf courses, many of which feature unique views of the coastline and the surrounding mountains.

Jutting into the Pacific Ocean as a part of Baja California, Los Cabos is as sunny of a destination as one can find. Warm all year long, December through April represents the busiest time of the year for Los Cabos travelers. The summer months tend to be a little rainier, but still remain popular with temperatures typically reaching as high as 94° Fahrenheit during July and August.
