Boston Activites

History buffs can follow in the footsteps of the heroes of the Revolutionary War along the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile, red-painted line that travels through Beacon Hill, downtown Boston, the North End and Charlestown. The Trail itself is a wonderful outdoor experience. Just a short distance from Faneuil Hall, the North End is one of Boston's first neighborhoods, and is now home to several historic sites, including Little Italy and the 1.6-mile Black History Trail. Another must-see along the tree-lined street of Brookline is the birthplace and childhood home of John F. Kennedy.

For recreation, Boston Common is a terrific park to take a stroll, rent a boat, or lay down a blanket for a picnic. For running enthusiasts, the Boston Marathon in April is where you want to be. In December, dress up in a Colonial outfit to see the Boston Tea Party Reenactment of 1773.

Seafood, most specifically lobster, is synonymous with dining in Boston. You’ll find marvelous restaurants scattered throughout the city with fantastic ethnic cuisine in Little Italy and Chinatown. While in Boston, make sure you indulge in New England clam chowder, Boston baked beans and a slice of delicious Boston cream pie.

Getting to Boston

Round-trip transfers from the airport to your hotel are not included with your package. A car rental is an optional add-on, and a great way to see New England. If you're setting sail on a cruise from Boston Harbor, spend a night or two on land, and plan an excursion with us before or after your cruise.
