La Paz Activities

Start your day with a leisurely stroll or invigorating jog along the Malecon boardwalk. Here, you can shop for everything from local art to Mexican footwear. History lovers will enjoy sights of the city’s past, including the INAH Museum, the Cultural Center of La Paz and the Cathedral. No matter where you turn, you'll find evidence of the region’s rich history.

Snorkeling, swimming, fishing and watersports enthusiasts will find plenty to do. Spend a day sunbathing and relaxing at any of La Paz’s six beaches, or go scuba diving or snorkeling in what Jacques Cousteau affectionately called, "The Aquarium of the World." You can also go fishing along the Sea of Cortez and, in many places, cook and eat your catch of the day for dinner.
