AIRLINE PARTNERS

WE'VE GOT FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES

Take11 off with miles anytime you fly one of our airline partners. Delta has partnered with top airlines around the world to give you more choices when it comes to earning miles in the air. And we all know - choice is a good thing.

When you are a SkyMiles member, your loyalty is rewarded when you fly with our airline partners too. Just remember, not all partner airlines follow the same earning rules as Delta-marketed or Delta-ticketed flights. So review the earning chart of the partner airline you are going to fly to see what you will earn.

Who is my marketing or ticketing carrier?

Not sure which airline is the marketing or ticketing carrier for your flight? The marketing carrier is determined by the two letter airline code in the flight number. For example, DL2368 is marketed by Delta Air Lines and follows the SkyMiles earning rules. However, VS18 is marketed by Virgin Atlantic and would follow the Virgin Atlantic chart. A Delta-ticketed flight features a ticket number that begins with “006”. Any flight purchased through delta.com will be ticketed by Delta. Any partner flight that is not Delta-marketed or Delta-ticketed will earn according to the rules below.

Better At Rewarding You

With the SkyMiles program, partner-marketed flights that are ticketed by Delta will earn miles toward Award Travel based on ticket price, instead of distance flown.  So when you pay a higher price, you will be rewarded with more miles — up to 75,000 per ticket.

Partner-marketed flights that are not ticketed by Delta will continue to earn miles based on a percentage of distance flown* as determined by the fare class paid.

The redeemable miles earned toward Award Travel differ from Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs). MQMs are used to determine Medallion status and will continue to be based on a percentage of distance flown and fare class paid.
