For a truly Danish food experience, try the renowned smorrebrod (open faced sandwich). The Christianshavn and Holmen neighborhoods are known to have the best restaurants for sublime Nordic fare. Denmark’s capital city has an abundance of fantastic craft cocktail bars, breweries, wine pubs and nightclubs, with many open 24 hours.
Many of Copenhagen’s cafes and restaurants have special children's menus, and provide a special high chair for toddlers.
Hotdogs, and the people who sell them, are adored in Denmark, and for good reason. Hotdogs are made from quality meat (from Hallegaard on Bornholm), with homemade toppings and hot, hot sauce.
The Copenhagen harbor has plenty of perfect places to soak up some sunshine while enjoying stunning waterfront views and delicious food, including popular Italian eateries with a Nordic twist.
