Face Masks
Masks are optional for Delta customers and employees for all U.S. domestic flights.
Masks are now optional for Delta customers and employees for international travel, except where masks are required by applicable governments for international travel. Please continue to bring a mask with you for international travel, because it may be required for some destinations based on their laws and requirements.
Where Masks Are Required
Masks or face coverings are required on Delta flights only where required by the laws of the flight origin and/or destination, including local governments or foreign countries or territories. This may include requiring masks on board or in the airport gate area or lounges. If this is the case, Delta will make an announcement at the gate and on board and may also place signage in the areas where masks are required. Delta may also notify you before travel by email or text message where feasible.
For these destinations, masks must be worn at all times in flight except while eating or drinking. If wearing oxygen masks is needed because of loss of cabin pressure or other events affecting aircraft ventilation, masks should be removed to accommodate oxygen masks.
Children under the age of six are exempt from any applicable mask requirements.
This policy only applies for travel on flights operated by Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection and does not exempt customers from policies on partner carriers. To learn about Delta Partner carrier face mask policies, click here.
Delta reserves the right to change its mask policy at any time without prior notice, including without limitation to comply with changing government requirements or public health guidance.
