SkyMiles® Wine Takes Flight is currently available on eligible Delta-operated flights departing from:
- Oakland (OAK)
- San Francisco (SFO)
- San Jose (SJC)
- Sacramento (SMF)
- Sonoma County (STS)
Terms and Conditions
SkyMiles® Wine Takes Flight is available on select Delta Air Lines (“Delta”) flights departing from participating airports (OAK, SFO, SJC, SMF and STS) to U.S. 50 destinations for customers traveling on a paid ticket or Award Travel who are active SkyMiles® members and at least 21 years of age.
Eligible customers may check one (1) case of wine at no additional charge; a “case” is defined as a single box or wine travel container containing up to twelve (12) 750-ml bottles and weighing no more than 50 lbs (23 kg), subject to standard checked baggage size limits of 62 linear inches.
Wine must be in unopened containers with original labels and securely packed in a durable, leak-resistant container with adequate protective materials; Delta may refuse items not properly packaged. Wine must be presented at the ticket counter and may be subject to inspection; containers must not be sealed prior to inspection if requested.
This offer applies only on Delta- and Delta Connection® marketed and operated flights originating from participating airports and is not valid on code share or non-participating itineraries. Any existing baggage embargoes apply.
For the avoidance of doubt, transport of wine travel containers to the participating airports is excluded from this offer and is subject to applicable checked baggage charges. The benefit is limited to waiver of the standard checked baggage fee for one qualifying wine case and does not apply to additional, overweight, or oversized baggage charges, which remain subject to Delta’s applicable rules.
Transportation of wine is subject to all applicable laws and regulations, and customers are responsible for compliance.
Wine and other fragile items are transported at the customer’s risk, and Delta assumes no liability for damage, loss or spoilage to liquids or fragile items to the fullest extent permitted by law, subject to the limitations set forth in Delta’s Contract of Carriage.
All benefits are subject to these Terms and Conditions and Delta’s Contract of Carriage, fare rules, and applicable policies; Delta reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Program at any time without notice (including for tickets purchased prior to the date of the Program change) and to interpret these Terms in its sole discretion.
