2024 Base Member Stimulation Program
Status: SkyMiles Members participating in this promotion will receive complementary Silver Medallion Status from May 22, 2024 through November 30, 2024 ending at 11:59:59 PM, U.S. Local Time (“Offer Period”).
Offer Details: Select U.S.-based SkyMiles Members who receive this offer directly from Delta Air Lines (“Delta”) will automatically receive Silver Medallion Status during the Offer Period; no enrollment necessary. To extend Silver Medallion Status until May 30, 2025, Members must earn $2,500 Medalion Qualification Dollars (“MQDs”) during the Offer Period. The offer to extend complimentary Silver Medallion Status is only valid during the Offer Period; MQDs earned prior to or after the Offer Period will not count towards this offer for purposes of extending status. Complimentary Status will expire after the end of the Offer Period. Medallion Status must be earned in subsequent years by earning the required MQDs in accordance with published guidelines from Delta.
This is a personal, non-transferable offer, only intended for the recipient who receives this offer directly from Delta Air Lines by email, at an email address owned by the recipient. Eligible Members are selected at Delta’s sole discretion.
How to Earn MQDs: MQDs earned on travel during the Offer Period on Delta, Delta Connection, and SkyMiles Partner Airlines on qualifying flights will count towards the challenge. MQDs earned through other sources during offer period, including but not limited to Delta SkyMiles American Express Cards, will count towards the challenge. MQDs earned from MQD Headstart using an eligible Delta SkyMiles® American Express Card will not apply towards required MQDs for this offer, even if the eligible card is acquired during the Offer Period. Medallion Benefits
Unlimited Upgrades: Except with respect to Basic Economy (E) fares (regardless of Medallion or other elite status), Medallion Members and select partner airline elite members and up to one companion who is a SkyMiles member traveling on the same reservation may be eligible for complimentary seat upgrade access to Delta Comfort+, First Class, and exclusively for domestic US flights, Delta One and Delta Premium Select seats, within a specified time prior to departure based on the applicable complimentary window of the highest SkyMiles Medallion Member in the same reservation. If the Medallion is no longer traveling on their original reservation, the companion traveling on the original reservation will no longer be eligible for complimentary premium seating upgrade, and they will be reassigned to their originally ticketed class of service.
Complimentary premium seats are not available for selection by any passenger while onboard the aircraft regardless of Medallion Status or fare class. Medallion complimentary upgrades are subject to availability and may not be available on all flights or in all markets.
For Medallion Members who purchase an extra seat, Medallion complimentary upgrades will not be cleared automatically or in advance. Members may request a Medallion Complimentary Upgrade at the gate, then, if cleared, the Medallion Complimentary Upgrade will only apply to one seat, and the extra seat will be forfeited by accepting the upgrade.
MQDs will not be awarded for complimentary seat upgrades. Delta is not liable for failure to process any upgrade or for processing upgrades outside the priority order. Delta reserves the right to limit inventory made available for upgrades on any flight for any reason, to delay processing upgrades for available seats until the check-in window or at the gate, and to assign or reassign a seat at any time, even after boarding of the aircraft, for operational, safety or security reasons. Available seats within the seat map does not necessarily mean these seats are part of inventory available for upgrades. The final decision resides with the ground staff and operating crew on the day of the flight.
Priority Check-In: Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion Members may use the Sky Priority check-in lanes. Certain airports may have a dedicated check-in lane for Silver Medallion Members. At airports which do not have a dedicated Silver Medallion check-in lane, Silver Medallion Members are permitted to use the Sky Priority check-in lane.
Priority Security Line Access: Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion Members have access to frequent traveler security lines in select U.S. domestic airports. To use these lines, show your digital Medallion membership card in the My Wallet section of the Fly Delta app along with the appropriate boarding documents. You can also print your Medallion membership card from My SkyMiles at delta.com anytime. For a list of cities that have these lines available, visit Frequent Traveler Security Lines. This benefit is subject to government security regulations and may be suspended at any time by government directive.
Priority Boarding: With our boarding order, Medallion Members are invited to board before other Main Cabin customers. Customers in Delta One and First Class, Diamond Medallion Members and Delta Premium Select customers will be invited to board the aircraft, in that order, via our Delta Sky Priority lane. All Platinum and Gold Medallion Members and SkyTeam Elite Plus customers are then invited to board with Sky Priority (SKY). Silver Medallion Members, and SkyTeam Elite customers can begin boarding after that using the General Boarding lane when traveling in Main Cabin (Main 1). Silver Medallion Members will not have a dedicated Priority Boarding zone on Delta flights departing AMS and CDG due to Air France-KLM boarding policies. One Free Checked Bag: Excess oversize, and/or overweight baggage fees may apply. The benefit applies to the Medallion Member when traveling on a Delta, China Southern, or on a SkyTeam partner flight. This also applies up to 8 travel companions on a Medallion Member's reservation for a total of 9 passengers when traveling on a Delta-operated flight, with the exception of flights departing from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) or Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). Ticket price eligible for mileage accrual includes base fare and carrier-imposed surcharges but excludes government-imposed taxes and fees. Medallion mileage bonus per USD spent based on earned Medallion Status at the time of travel. General SkyMiles Members earn 5 miles per dollar spent. Silver Medallion Members earn 2 additional miles per dollar (for a total of 7), Gold Medallion Members earn an additional 3 miles per dollar (for a total of 8), Platinum Medallion Members earn 4 additional miles per dollar (for a total of 9), and Diamond Medallion Members earn 6 additional miles per dollar (for a total of 11). Promotional Fulfillment: Silver status extension will come into effect by November 30, 2025 if all promotion criteria explained above are met by the participant.
