Delta Vacations Travel Advisory Waiver Policy

The Delta Vacations Travel Advisory Waiver Policy ensures that you can purchase your vacation with confidence. If your travel dates and destinations are impacted by a Delta Air Lines issued event waiver, Delta Vacations allows you to cancel your existing vacation, and receive a Delta Vacations travel voucher for the original package value. Travel vouchers allow you to rebook and travel within a year from the issue date. You also have the option to rebook right away, within the specific event waiver guidelines.

Coronavirus Voucher Expiration Dates

During this unprecedented time, policies and expiration dates may change from time to time based on travel restrictions and other factors. Please check back with us regularly for the latest voucher expiration updates.

As an exception, vouchers issued during COVID-19 can now be rebooked by December 31, 2022, for travel through December 31, 2022.

BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE

We want to welcome you back as soon as you are ready to travel. To help you feel more confident making new reservations, we are adding the flexibility you may need to adjust your plans with no change fees when you purchase a vacation package with a flight in Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+, First Class, Delta Premium Select or Delta One. The full value will be applied to your new revised booking. Packages with Basic Economy tickets purchased after April 30, 2021 are final, meaning these tickets are not changeable or refundable.

TRAVEL FLEXIBILITY

If you have a previously issued voucher expiring April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021, we completely understand that making a new booking may not have been practical during the last few months. To allow additional flexibility in making travel plans, we have extended these unused vouchers so they can be applied as payment to a new booking now through December 31, 2022. This extension also requires that you completed your travel by December 31, 2022.

Delta Vacations Travel Advisory Waiver Policy Terms and Conditions
  • Delta Vacations allows you to cancel your existing vacation, and receive a Delta Vacations travel voucher for the original package value, if your travel dates and destinations are included as impacted travel dates and affected cities in a Delta-issued event waiver.
  • If you are affected, and have not yet commenced travel, you have the following options:
    1. Rebook your vacation without penalties to any other Delta Vacations destination, for travel within the departure dates listed in the waiver guidelines.
      • Prior to the original scheduled departure date, you must cancel existing services that will not be used, and rebook within the booking dates stated in the applicable Delta waiver.
      • If the cost of the new reservation exceeds the cost of the original reservation, you are responsible for any additional cost at the time of rebooking.
      • If the cost of the new reservation is less than the original reservation, the balance will be refunded to you in the form of a Delta Vacations travel voucher, which is valid for booking any Delta Vacations destination within one year, for travel anytime, based on availability.
    2. Cancel your vacation, and receive a refund in the form of a Delta Vacations travel voucher, which is valid for booking another Delta Vacations destination within one year of your voucher issue date, for travel within that same one year window, based on availability.
      • If you purchased the Travel Protection Plan, you have additional coverage options. View the full details of the Travel Protection Plan, opens in a new window. Delta Vacations may modify or terminate this policy at any time, without notice, in its sole discretion.
  • Group bookings are expressly excluded and do not qualify for this waiver policy.  Please see applicable terms in the group contract, if one applies, for applicable change and cancellation policies.
  • Delta Vacations is the final authority on the interpretation of these rules, and reserves the right to change the Travel Advisory Waiver Policy Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice.
  • Use of this policy by ineligible customers will result in the removal of all credits toward cancellation fees.
    • In such cases, ineligible customers will be required to pay the full price, or will be required to cancel the ineligible reservation and pay the applicable cancellation fee.
