LOCAL CURRENCY

Cuba has two types of currency. One for locals - National Pesos - and a separate monetary unit for travelers - the Convertible Peso. Note that the Convertible Peso is 24x the value of the National Peso, so never accept change in a different currency. Exchange money in Cuba.
