Ready for takeoff? The Douglas DC-7 was a part of our fleet from 1956 to 1961. With a top speed of 350 MPH, the flight to Havana from Atlanta took about five and a half hours in a DC-7.
Modern planes fly much smoother and faster, thanks to turbo-fans. With cruising speeds ranging from 500 to 550 MPH, a flight from Atlanta to Havana takes around 2 hours and 20 minutes.
