Logan International Airport (BOS)

Also known as Beantown, Boston is a quintessential blend of colonial history and urban innovation. From charming cobblestone streets to revolutionary landmarks, Boston is a treasure trove of Americana. You’ll also find marvelous galleries, mouth-watering New England cuisine and wonderful sports enthusiasts committed to their beloved Red Sox.

America’s Walking City

History buffs can follow in the footsteps of the heroes of the Revolutionary War along the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile, red-painted line that travels through Beacon Hill, downtown Boston, the North End and Charlestown. The Trail itself is a wonderful outdoor experience. Just a short distance from Faneuil Hall, the North End is one of Boston's first neighborhoods, and is now home to several historic sites, including Little Italy and the 1.6-mile Black History Trail. Another must-see along the tree-lined street of Brookline is the birthplace and childhood home of John F. Kennedy.

For recreation, Boston Common is a terrific park to take a stroll, rent a boat, or lay down a blanket for a picnic. For running enthusiasts, the Boston Marathon in April is where you want to be. In December, dress up in a Colonial outfit to see the Boston Tea Party Re-enactment 1773.

With its long and storied maritime history, seafood, most specifically lobster, is synonymous with dining in Boston. You’ll find marvelous restaurants scattered throughout the city with fantastic ethnic cuisine in Little Italy and Chinatown. While in Boston, make sure you indulge in New England clam chowder, Boston baked beans and a slice of delicious Boston cream pie.
