Rebooking a Delayed or Canceled Flight

Rebook Your Flight


If your flight is delayed for more than 30 minutes or canceled completely, it’s easy to rebook a new flight that fits your schedule. Rebooking your own flight gives you access to the same flight options that our agents have, and your bags will be re-routed to whichever flight you select. Rebook your flight as many times as you need to, until you’re on your way.

Rebook when:

  • Your flight is delayed longer than 30 minutes.
  • Your flight has been canceled and was issued by Delta, a joint venture partner, SkyTeam or codeshare partner.
  • Your Delta flight was canceled and was ticketed by another carrier with whom Delta has an agreement.

Steps to Rebook Your Flight:

Follow these steps to view alternate times and select a new qualifying flight using Fly Delta app, My Trips on delta.com, or at a kiosk in the airport.

*Domestic flights that have a departure time within 30 minutes and international flights that have a departure time within 60 minutes will not be displayed due to the check-in window.

You’re eligible to rebook when your flight is delayed longer than 30 minutes or your flight has been canceled and was issued by Delta, a joint venture partner, SkyTeam or codeshare partner, or another carrier with whom Delta has an agreement.

Customers with itineraries associated with Unaccompanied Minors, Group Travel or Cruise bookings cannot use this rebooking option. Rebooking is also not available for customers departing from Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS) or Paris-Charles De Gaulle (CDG). Customers may not rebook if they wish to stand by for an earlier or later flight.
