Salt Lake City Activities

A trip to Salt Lake City wouldn’t be complete without exploring the natural wonders of the Great Salt Lake — and there are plenty of activities around the shoreline to get lost in like sailing and kayaking. Bonneville Shoreline Trail traces the waterfront for scenic hiking and biking. Enjoy an intimate sunset cruise from the marina, or a lazy day on the white-sand beaches of Antelope Island State Park.

Kick up some snow during your trip to Salt Lake City. With the nickname Ski City, you’ll find resorts in the Wasatch Mountains and Little Cottonwood Canyon with some of the best terrain for skiing and snowboarding. Other fun winter activities include ice-skating, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Combine that with the deep-powder slopes and the dynamic scene at local bars, offering live music and art shows.

Salt Lake City also offers tons of history and culture. The popular Historic Temple Square, where the Mormon pioneers built their first church, is one of the most visited attractions in Utah.
