Elevate Your Status Frequently Asked Questions
Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our Elevate Your Status offer.
- All Platinum, Gold and Silver Medallion Members are eligible for Elevate Your Status, unless they received complimentary Status for a Tier above the Tier they earned Status for. For example, if a Member is given complimentary Gold Medallion Status, but earned Silver Medallion Status through the published requirements, he or she is ineligible for Elevate Your Status.
- General SkyMiles Members must be within range to reach Silver Medallion Status by purchasing the maximum bundle of MQMs, MQSs and MQDs, in order to be eligible to participate. For example, if a Member only has 14,000 MQMs, he or she will not be eligible because the maximum amount of MQMs that can be earned through Elevate Your Status is 10,000 and the MQMs requirement for Silver Medallion Status is 25,000.
- As a reminder, Diamond Medallion Members are ineligible for Elevate Your Status because Diamond Medallion Members have already reached the highest Tier of Medallion Status.
Purchased bundles may only be applied to SkyMiles accounts that have been established for at least 10 days and have earned at least one mile since enrolling in SkyMiles.
The prices for purchasing MQMs/MQSs will vary and generally align with the benefits of each Medallion Tier. Therefore, for example, the price a Member pays to purchase a bundle toward Silver Medallion Status will be different than the bundle needed to reach Gold Medallion Status. In order to see the prices available to you, login with your SkyMiles account information and proceed to Step 1.
Standard transaction terms are documented on the Elevate Your Status purchase page opens in a new window once you log in with your SkyMiles account. Once a bundle purchase is requested and the credit card is charged, MQMs, MQSs and MQDs amounts are non-refundable.
Purchased MQMs/MQSs will post to your balance and apply toward your Medallion Status. Dollars spent toward the bundle you purchased will be credited as MQDs, which will post to your MQD balance and apply toward your Medallion Status. If applicable, Million Miler Status and Medallion Status will be updated within 24 hours of your bundle purchase.
Keep in mind that Rollover MQMs is a benefit available to Medallion Members only. Members who do not achieve any Tier of earned Medallion Status through the published requirements are ineligible for rollover MQMs. MQSs and MQDs do not roll over.
All SkyMiles program rules apply to SkyMiles program membership, miles, offers, mile accrual, mile redemption and travel benefits.
