Delta Gift Cards FAQs


  • Gift Cards may be redeemed for any flight worldwide at delta.com or by calling 1-800-225-1366.
  • Gift Cards may be redeemed toward Delta Vacations® packages that include airfare by visiting delta.com/vacations or by calling 800-800-1504.
  • eGifts and Cards may only be redeemed toward the total purchase price of air transportation, including taxes, fees, and surcharges imposed on the air transportation or on Delta Vacations packages that include air transportation (excluding any cash portion of an Award or Miles + Cash Ticket). They may not be used for any additional fees (including baggage fees) or for any other products or services (including in-flight purchases, class upgrades or premium seating, after the initial plane ticket purchase has already been completed, mileage booster, Delta Cruises, cargo, hotel stays, or car rentals).
  • Gift Cards cannot be used to pay for any cash portion of an Award or Miles + Cash Ticket.
  • Delta Gift Cards may be purchased through delta.com, Delta Sky Clubs, and authorized retailers nationwide including Target, Walmart, Best Buy, grocery stores including Kroger, Publix, Albertsons Safeway, pharmacy stores including Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy and Rite Aid, and home stores including Home Depot, Lowe’s and Bed Bath and Beyond. 
  • Delta Gift Cards are also available to add to (and buy from) wedding registries including The Knot, Zola and Honeyfund. 
  • Consumer resale sites are not authorized to sell Delta Gift Cards and customers are advised to not sell or purchase cards through these sites. Customers who purchase cards from unlicensed resellers do so at their own risk.

No, purchase of Delta Gift Cards do not earn Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs). When you redeem the Delta Gift Card, you will earn MQDs based on the amount used on the Delta or Delta Vacations booking according to the outline and terms and conditions posted on Delta.com.

Delta Gift Cards never expire. No service or inactivity fees apply.

eGifts and Cards, including those that are lost, stolen, or destroyed, will not be replaced by Delta for any reason.

A US billing address is required for all gift card purchases on delta.com.

You may order Delta Gift Cards in bulk by going to delta.com/businessgiftcards. They are available to send by email or mail, and are great to engage prospects, reward clients, or motivate employees with a gift they’ll truly enjoy.

  • Gift Cards may be shipped to valid street addresses within the 50 United States. We do not currently ship Gift Cards to PO Boxes or to any address outside of the United States.
  • eGift cards (an electronic gift card sent by email) may be purchased by customers with billing addresses within all US territories, including Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, etc.
  • Activation times may vary depending on where the Gift Card was purchased. 
  • Gift Cards purchased on our delta.com website, and on our Corporate Gift Cards website delta.com/businessgiftcards can be used immediately following purchase and receipt.
  • Gift Cards picked up from Delta Sky Clubs and activated online can be used approximately twenty-four (24) hours after purchase.
  • Cards purchased from retail stores may require up to twenty-four (24) hours after the time of purchase before redemption.
  • Gift cards purchased through other authorized channels are eligible for use immediately following purchase and receipt.

Up to 5 Gift Cards can be redeemed per transaction on delta.com and up to 4 Gift Cards can be redeemed per transaction on delta.com/vacations. If you wish to redeem more Gift Cards for a single purchase, please call Delta Air Lines at 1-800-225-1366 or Delta Vacations at 1-800-800-1504 and a Reservations Specialist will be able to assist you.

  • A confirmation email will be sent to the address provided at the time of the order letting you know your order is in process. For physical Gift Card orders, a second email will be sent with the appropriate tracking information for your shipment.
  • For eGift orders, a confirmation email will be sent to the provided purchaser email address. A separate email with the eGift will be sent to the Recipient email provided at the time of purchase. 
  • For physical Gift Card orders, please refer to the shipment tracking email to help determine the delivery status. For delivery exceptions (i.e. returned to sender, etc.) please contact us at deltagiftcards@delta.com to arrange reshipment.
  • For eGift orders, please check all Spam/Junk Mail folders. If the email still cannot be located, please contact us at deltagiftcards@delta.com or call 1-800-225-1366.
  • Make sure you’ve allowed enough time for the card to activate. (Activation times may vary depending on where the Gift Card was purchased. Cards purchased from retail stores, or picked up at Delta Sky Clubs and activated online may require up to twenty-four (24) hours after the time of purchase before redemption.)

Delta Gift Cards are not refundable and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, check or credit except where required by law.

Gift Cards are available for purchase ranging from $50 to $2,000 in value per card. You may enter your own value per card.

Orders may not exceed $10,000 in total value in a given day.  If more than $10,000 worth of Delta Gift Cards is needed, please go to delta.com/businessgiftcards to place your order.

  • eGift delivery/email (immediate delivery):  No charge
  • Standard delivery (3-4 business days):  $4.95 per order
  • Expedited delivery (2-3 business days):  $14.95 per order
  • Shipping times may vary slightly during peak seasons
  • You may upload your own image to display on an eGift card, to create a unique gift.
  • You may also add a personal message to be included in the eGift card email or physical gift card carrier.
  • To upload your own image for eGift cards, select a high-resolution landscape or portrait-oriented picture to be included in the eGift template. 
    • Picture format should be .jpg, .jfif, or .png. (5MB maximum)
    • Move to crop the image to fit within the template
  • To create a personal message, type your message in the Your Message field.

All new Delta Gift Cards are made from paper sourced from sustainable forests, is 100% recyclable, and is FSC® certified. We are committed to making our Gift Cards eco-friendly.  You can of course also choose to send an eGift.

Congratulations on achieving Million Miler™ Status!  As a token of our appreciation, we sent an email with your Delta Gift Card to the email address listed in your SkyMiles account upon you earning this Status. If you did not receive this email or accidently deleted it, email MillionMilerDGC@delta.com.
