Ebola Travel Attestation Requirement for all U.S.-Bound International Travelers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a new public health order requiring all travelers arriving in the United States on all international flights to complete an Ebola travel attestation before boarding. The requirement goes into effect at 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 3 for flights departing to the United States at or after that time and applies to all individuals boarding the plane.

What travelers must do: Before boarding a U.S.-bound international flight, travelers must attest that they have not been present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) within the previous 21 days. The attestation must be completed and signed prior to boarding; those who refuse will be denied boarding. Travelers may complete the attestation upon check in via the app or Delta.com. Travelers will also receive a link to the attestation via the check-in reminder sent 24-hours before departure.
