To ensure we provide you the safest travel experience, we're making temporary changes to the Delta experience you've come to love. This includes changes to:

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to navigate this situation, and please know that your safety, and that of our crew, continues to guide our decisions around crafting the right experience based on the current environment. 

Caring for You Onboard


Taking care of customers and employees remains Delta’s No. 1 priority, which means we will continue to evaluate and make adjustments while staying in close coordination with local health organizations to ensure your safety.

While the signature hospitality of our crew remains unchanged, you’ll start to see the following temporary changes to our onboard offerings on all flights.

Food and Beverage Offerings 

We’re paring down to essential onboard food and beverage options in an effort to reduce physical touch points between customers and employees.

As always, you are welcome to bring your own refreshments on board to enjoy during flight. Since many airport offerings are limited at this time, we recommend packing your own food items and encourage you to review TSA guidelines, opens in a new window before bringing food through security checkpoints.

U.S. Domestic and International flights to Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and Central America

Flights More than 350 Miles:

  • All passengers will be able to enjoy a snack selection.
  • Beverages will be limited to individual 8.5 oz bottled water only in all cabins.
  • No alcohol, plastic cups or ice will be available at this time. 
  • Meal preselect and special meal service is temporarily suspended. 

Flights 900 to 1,500 Miles:

  • Passengers seated in First Class will receive individually packaged Flight Fuel boxes in addition to snacks. 
  • Customers traveling in Main Cabin or Delta Comfort+® will be able to enjoy a snack selection. 
  • Beverages will be limited to individual 8.5 oz bottled water only in all cabins. 
  • No alcohol, plastic cups or ice will be available at this time. 
  • Meal preselect and special meal service is temporarily suspended. 

Flights longer than 1,500 Miles:

  • Passengers seated in First Class or Delta One® will receive individually packaged Flight Fuel boxes in addition to snacks. 
  • Customers traveling in Main Cabin or Delta Comfort+ will be able to enjoy a selection of snacks. 
  • Beverages will be limited to individual 8.5 oz bottled water only in all cabins with additional bottles available upon request. 
  • No alcohol, plastic cups or ice will be available at this time. 
  • Meal preselect and special meal service is temporarily suspended.

All Other International Flights

Beginning April 3, onboard service across all long-haul international flights include only the following:

Delta One:

  • Pre-departure beverage offering will be individual bottled water.
  • Choice of entrée, along with appetizer, bread and dessert selection. Beginning April 8, appetizer will no longer be offered.
  • Full selection of beverage offerings, including beer, wine and spirits. Limited wine selections will be available beginning April 8.

Delta Premium Select:

  • Choice of entrée, along with salad, bread, appetizer and dessert. Beginning April 8, appetizer will no longer be offered. 
  • Full selection of beverage offerings, including beer, wine and spirits. 

Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin:

  • Delta’s welcome cocktail will be available upon request only during the meal and beverage service.
  • Choice of entrée, along with appetizer, bread and dessert.
  • Full selection of beverage options, including beer, wine and spirits.
  • Beginning April 8, the welcome cocktail and bread will be removed from service. Limited wine offerings will be available at this time.

Onboard Service and Amenities  

Because cleanliness is a top priority, we’re making changes to our onboard service and amenities to ensure the safety of our customers and employees while maintaining comforts you enjoy.

Pillows and blankets will continue to be available on long-haul international flights. Rest assured all blankets and bedding are laundered after every flight and Main Cabin pillows disposed of after use.  

All glassware, including coffee mugs and champagne flutes, has been removed from every Delta flight.

Hot towel service is suspended temporarily from every Delta Flight.

Flight Attendants will continue to provide you with amenity kits on long-haul international flights. As a safety precaution, all kits will be offered via a tray rather than being pre-placed on seats.

Non-essential materials, including Delta’s in-flight magazine Sky, will be removed from seat-back pockets on all aircraft. Passenger safety briefing cards and air sickness bags will still be available.
