Who is Sky Priority®?

Sky Priority® is available to all of our Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion® members. Not a Medallion member? No problem. You can experience these exclusive services when booking a Delta One®, First Class, Delta Premium Select or Business Class ticket, or if you’re a SkyTeam® Elite Plus, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold, or Virgin Australia Velocity Platinum or Gold member.


  • Faster Check-in

    Don’t let airport check-in slow you down. Enjoy dedicated check-in areas at the airport to help you move through quickly and get to your gate even faster.

  • Accelerated Security

    Speed through security with exclusive security lines at select airports. The Sky Priority® expedited security lines are offered during peak times and can change locations. Be on the lookout for our Sky Priority signs to locate these lines or simply ask a Delta representative to direct you.

  • Early Boarding

    Being among the first on the plane definitely has its advantages. Boarding with Sky Priority® lets you secure superior overhead bins, so you can settle in sooner and relax before takeoff.

  • Expedited Baggage Service

    Sky Priority gives your bags special treatment. Our expedited baggage service ensures your bags arrive first on the carousel, to help get you on your way sooner.

    What's the difference?

    The SkyMiles Medallion program rewards our most frequent flyers for their continued loyalty. You must be a SkyMiles member to earn the benefits of Medallion status.

    Medallion status is earned through a combination of the miles or segments you fly plus your annual spending on Delta flights.

    Sky Priority is a suite of services designed to improve your experience at the airport.

    These services are available to the following passengers on every trip:

    • Diamond Medallion members
    • Platinum Medallion members
    • Gold Medallion members
    • SkyTeam Elite Plus customers
    • Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold members
    • Virgin Australia Velocity Platinum members
    • Virgin Australia Velocity Gold members

    And on individual trips, these services are available to anyone who purchases a Delta One®, First Class, or Business Class ticket.

    Are there different levels of service?

    The benefits you receive are based on your current Medallion status.

    There are no status levels for Sky Priority service. Everyone who qualifies for Sky Priority, as listed above, receives the same services.

    What is the scope of services?

    The SkyMiles Medallion program is for Delta customers.

    Sky Priority is available to eligible customers flying Delta and SkyTeam airlines.
