Previous Checked Bag Fees

All baggage is subject to the published fees at the time of your ticket purchase. Therefore, if you purchased tickets prior to the effective date of our current baggage fee policy, the fees may differ. Check below for which fees might apply.

The fees that apply for checking up to two bags that meet our size and weight restrictions are based on:

• Where you are traveling;
• When you bought your ticket;
• And whether you check in on-line at delta.com or at the airport.

The following passengers are exempt from these fees:

• BusinessElite®, First and Business Class passengers.
• SkyMiles Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver Medallion® Members
• Active duty U.S. military members traveling on orders
• Passengers with a Full Y class Economy ticket

For all other passengers, the following charges apply:

Latin America (excluding Brazil)

Between Europe and India

Between Europe / North Africa and North America / South America

Asia, Africa, Middle East, Australia

Middle East & Southern Africa

Japan to/from Guam, Palau, & Saipan

All Other International Destinations

For all other destinations not specified above, our current checked baggage fees apply for all ticket purchase dates.

Remember that additional fees may apply if you check more than two bags or if your checked bags exceed our size and weight restrictions.
