Pay with Miles
Another way to use your miles! You can choose to pay for eligible flights with miles, money, or a combination of both:- Exclusively for SkyMiles® members with a Gold, Platinum, or Reserve Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express
- No blackout dates or inventory restrictions, just look for flights marked as Pay with Miles eligible
- Pay with Miles is flexible. Pay for all or part of the fare with miles — it's up to you

Want to check in for your flight and pay for your bags before you arrive at the airport? Within 24 hours of your departure, you can tell us how many bags you will check and pay any fees quickly and easily online. When you arrive at the airport, you can drop off your checked baggage at the nearest baggage drop, marked with red "Baggage Drop" signage, or curbside check-in station (available within 6 hours of departure time). You may also check your bags at the airport kiosk, ticket counter, or curbside; however, please note that higher checked baggage fees may apply if paid at the airport.
If your bag exceeds weight or size limits, please review the Additional, Overweight, and Oversized Baggage section. You may also carry on one bag and one small personal item at no charge. SkyMiles Medallion members, SkyMiles Credit Cardmembers from American Express, and other exceptions
All SkyMiles Medallion Members, SkyTeam® Elite & Elite Plus Members and Alaska MVP & MVP Gold Members will be able to check one additional bag over the standard cabin allowance for travel outside the United States and Canada and/or travel between the United States & Canada and select Caribbean destinations. This benefit is subject to the weight and size restrictions of your cabin of travel. Furthermore, the benefits listed below extend to up to 8 travel companions on the medallion's reservation for a total of 9 passengers.
