For Domestic travel within the United States passengers will be charged $15 for the first checked bag and $25 for the second checked bag. Customers who purchased Delta tickets on or before Nov. 5, 2008 will be charged $50 for a second bag, but will be permitted to check their first bag without charge in keeping with Delta's previous policy.
For International travel between the United States and Europe for tickets purchased on or after May 23, 2009 for travel commencing on or after July 1, 2009, a $50 US charge (or the local equivalent currency) will apply for customers checking a second bag.
No more than four checked bags will be allowed in all Delta Connection® carriers.
You'll be charged an excess baggage fee each time you go over any one of the allowances.
For example, if you have an extra piece of baggage that goes over the weight limit and the size limit, then you'll be charged 3 times:

The fees listed below apply to all areas of travel, however some areas may have additional restrictions.

Boxes—Only factory-sealed boxes will be accepted to Latin American destinations (excluding Brazil, Chile, and Mexico) at any time during the year.
Regional Jet Service—No excess baggage (weight, size, or piece) will be accepted on Delta Connection® or other regional jet flights to/from cities in Mexico.
Embargo Dates—Excess baggage pieces will not be accepted on flights to the following destination(s) during these specified dates:
