Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP)

Established in 1936, the Universal Air Travel Plan, Inc. (UATP) is the world's first corporate travel payment system. UATP is owned and operated by the airline industry, and UATP cards are issued by most of the world's major airlines directly to their corporate customers. UATP annual billings are nearly $8 billion (USD). The UATP card is accepted by over 200 carriers around the world as a form of payment for the purchase of air and rail tickets. It is designed exclusively for corporations and can be used by individual business travelers, corporate travel departments and travel agents.

Delta Air Lines UATP Benefits

Superior Management Reports
MIS reports detail travel expense patterns that provide corporations with precise information for budget analysis and forecasting of air and rail travel expenses.

The report includes the traveler's:

  • Name(s)
  • Origin, destination and travel date
  • Class of service
  • Cost of ticket

Ease of Reconciliation
Concise centralized billing statements are available in print, on a disk, or in cassette/reel tape format. You can customize your billing options and break down expenses by:

  • Cost center
  • Department
  • Employee, or
  • Other category

Improved Control
Keeps air travel charges separate from other corporate T & E expenses, adding greater control by discouraging credit misuse and simplifying reconciliation.

Cardless Accounts
Corporations can choose to establish cardless accounts and not issue cards to employees or only issue cards to those employees who need to purchase a ticket while on the road.

Automatic
Every traveler who purchases a ticket with a Delta UATP card automatically receives $125,000 (USD) travel accident insurance (AD&D), and up to $500 (USD) baggage delay coverage. Additional coverage can be easily purchased for a small incremental cost.
