AD: Canadian Agency Qualifications

The following information and instructions apply to IATA/Delta-appointed travel agencies based in Canada qualifying for Delta AD travel.

Owner

  • Must own a minimum of 25% interest in an approved agency.
  • Must act as a full-time administrator and supervisor of the agency.
  • Must promote and sell travel.
  • Must have held the position for at least (12) consecutive months.
  • Must present a valid picture ID such as a driver's license or passport.

Note: Failure to produce required ID when traveling can result in denied boarding.

Employee

  • Must be a full-time salaried and/or commissioned employee, responsible for promoting travel, including air transportation.
  • Must be located on the premises of the agency for at least twelve (12) consecutive months.

Outside Sales employees are not eligible for reduced rate transportation unless they are full-time employees who are:

  • Responsible for selling and promoting air transportation and related services.
  • Engaged in this endeavor for at least 35 hours per week.
  • Paid a salary and/or commission and have no other means of gainful employment. (Annual compensation must equal or exceed 35 x 50 x minimum wage).
  • Possess a valid picture ID such as a driver's license or passport.

Note: Failure to produce the required ID when traveling can result in denied boarding.
