Delta Customer Care
Before referring customers to Customer Care, Delta will make every attempt to resolve the situation at the first point of contact. The 800 number is for those customers referred to the Customer Care Department outside of Reservation Sales.

Note: Do not refer baggage-related issues to the Customer Care number. Instead, refer baggage-related issues to the Baggage Service Center.

Baggage Service Center
The Baggage Service Center offers 24 hour assistance with lost, damaged, or delayed baggage using Delta's automated tracking system, "World Tracker". Call 800-325-8224.

Delta Connection
Correspondence received by Delta Air Lines about a Delta Connection Partner is handled by Delta Customer Care. Exceptions to this are:

Claims of personal injury or liability.
Obvious violations of policies or procedures that may involve a regulatory agency.
Rudeness where the employee is clearly identified as a Delta Connection employee and the customer is aware that Delta is not the service-providing carrier.

These situations are referred directly to the connection carrier for handling.

Codeshare
Correspondence received by Delta Air Lines about one of our codeshare partners is handled by Delta Customer Care regardless of which airline actually operated the flight. Exceptions to this are:

Claims of personal injury or liability.
Obvious violations of policies or procedures that may involve a regulatory agency.
Rudeness where the employee is clearly identified as a codeshare partner employee and the customer is aware that Delta is not the service-providing carrier.

These situations are referred directly to the connection carrier for handling.
