Here's where you can learn about the latest updates to the Medallion program.

Fees Waived for SkyMiles Medallions

As a Medallion benefit, here's a list of fees waived as part of your travel experience with us:

Silver
  • $3.00 administrative fee for curbside check-in at ATL, BOS, CVG, FLL, JFK, LAX, LGA, MCO, PBI, SLC, TPA and all other locations effective April 15, 2008
  • $25.00 second bag fee
Gold Medallion
  • $3.00 administrative fee for curbside check-in at ATL, BOS, CVG, FLL, JFK, LAX, LGA, MCO, PBI, SLC, TPA and all other locations effective April 15, 2008
  • $25.00 second bag fee
  • $50.00 Same-day Confirmed Fee
Platinum Medallion
  • $3.00 administrative fee for curbside check-in at ATL, BOS, CVG, FLL, JFK, LAX, LGA, MCO, PBI, SLC, TPA and all other locations effective April 15, 2008
  • $25.00 second bag fee
  • $50.00 Same-day Confirmed Fee
  • $100.00 Award Ticket redeposit fee
  • $100.00 Award Ticket reissue fee

Medallion Baggage Pickup Update

Delta SkyMiles Gold and Platinum Medallion customers enjoy the benefit of standing by for an earlier or later flight on the same day of travel. Please make sure to pick up your bags based on your original flight itinerary, if you change your flight itinerary after you have checked your bags and are confirmed on another flight or standing by for an earlier/later flight. Baggage delivery from destination airport to your home or hotel is not a fee-free service we provide for voluntary flight changes. A Delta representative will hold your bag until you can retrieve it from the airport.

Automatic Notification of Cleared Upgrades

Wondering if your Complimentary Medallion upgrade has cleared?

  • If your request clears at least 14 days before your flight, you'll be contacted using your "Advance Updates" preference set in your Profile.
  • If your request clears within 48 hours of departure, you'll be notified using your "Last-minute Updates" contact preference set in your Profile.

If we can't reach you through your contact preferences, we'll use the email address or phone numbers you provided during your ticket purchase.

So now, more than ever, it's a good idea to make sure all your contact information is up-to-date in your Profile (under the Contact Me tab, within the Delta Messenger Flight Notifications section).

Upgrade Requests Transferred to the Airport Standby List

Beginning, January 17, when you check in at delta.com, your pending complimentary upgrade request will automatically be transferred to the airport standby list at the airport. So, you no longer have to stop at the kiosk or an agent to add your upgrade request when you check in online. We'll transfer your request without you having to do a thing.

Medallion Upgrade Automation

We've made it even easier for Medallion members to use complimentary upgrades. We will now automatically request your upgrade when you make a reservation over the phone, at the airport, or through a travel agent, as well as at delta.com.
