For groups of 10 or more passengers on the same flight, our Group and Specialty Sales Center will be glad to evaluate your request for blocked space using the following guidelines. Contact Group Sales.

Travel Within the United States and Canada
   
Category Guidelines
Minimum Requirement 10 or more passengers traveling together within the United States and Canada
Maximum Group Capacity
  • Up to 60% of the Coach/Economy Class cabin on Delta and Delta Connection® carriers
  • Not applicable for First/Business Class cabins
Ticket Rules Each group member must abide by the rules and restrictions of the ticket's fare.
Children Fares Children's discounts will not apply.
Ticketing Requirements Once booked, ticket purchases must be completed according to the following schedule:
  • If booked more than 90 days before departure, names and ticketing must be completed within 30 days after the booking date.
  • If booked more than 30 days but less than 90 days before departure, names and ticketing must be completed or cancel within 72 hours (3 days) after the booking date.
  • If booked 30 days to 2 weeks before departure, names and ticketing must be completed or cancel within 48 hours (2 days) after the booking date.
  • If booked 14 days or less before departure, names and ticketing must be completed or cancel within 24 hours (1 day) after the time of booking.
Name Changes Once ticketed:
  • A maximum of 40% of the group may change names up to the date of the outbound departure.
  • A fee of $150, $153 (CAD) per name change will apply.
Voluntary Changes
  • Deviations are not permitted before travel begins.
  • Any routing change on the return flight must be for the entire group.
  • Any differences in fare will be collected along with the applicable service charge after ticketing.
Utilization Penalties No utilization penalties will apply.
Deposits No deposits will apply.
Direct Ticketing Charge Direct ticketing charges will apply for group-issued tickets. No fee applies to tickets issued in Canadian dollars.
Special Note Group rules may vary depending on travel information (destination/dates) upon final confirmation negotiated directly with DL Group Representative.

Travel Outside the United States and Canada
   
Category Guidelines
Minimum Requirement 10 or more Coach/Economy passengers, or 8 or more Business/First Class passengers traveling together from the United States or Canada to Europe, Asia, Central and South America, Mexico, or the Caribbean.
Maximum Group Capacity
  • 60% of the Coach/Economy Class cabin
  • 50% of the BusinessElite® cabin
Capacity guidelines will vary with season.

Ticketing Requirements Once booked, ticket purchase must be completed according to the following schedule:
  • If booked more than 90 days before departure:
    • For basic Transatlantic and Transpacific travel season, names and ticketing are due 30 days prior to departure.
    • For peak and shoulder Transatlantic and Transpacific travel seasons, names and ticketing are due 45 days prior to departure.
    • For Central and South America, Mexico, and Caribbean travel, names and ticketing are due 30 days prior to departure.
    • Exception: Travel to Mexico, the Caribbean, Central/South America Dec 10–Jan 10, names and ticketing are due 45 days after the booking date.
  • If booked more than 30 days but less than 90 days before departure, names and ticketing must be completed or cancel within 72 hours (3 days) after the booking date.
  • If booked 30 days to 2 weeks before departure, names and ticketing must be completed or cancel within 48 hours (2 days) after the booking date.
  • If booked 14 days or less before departure, names and ticketing must be completed or cancel within 24 hours (1 day) after the time of booking.
Name Changes Once ticketed:
  • There is a limit of one name change per passenger.
  • A $150, $153 (CAD) fee will apply per change.

  • Any differences in fare will be collected along with the applicable service charge.
Utilization Penalties Penalties may apply for not utilizing all seats originally booked for the group.

Coach/Economy class penalty per seat:
  • Transatlantic and Transpacific: $100
  • Central and South America, Mexico, and Caribbean: $100
Business class penalty per seat:
  • Transatlantic and Transpacific travel: $600
  • Central and South America, Mexico, and Caribbean—$450 or 50% of base fare, whichever is lower
Deposits Deposit of $100 per seat is due 21 days after booking
Direct Ticketing Charge Direct ticketing charges will apply for group-issued tickets. No fee applies to tickets issued in Canadian dollars.
Tour Conductors May be negotiated for agencies only
