Delta and Northwest Merger
Lounge FAQs

Here are the questions you might have about the merger. If your question or comment has not been addressed in any section of the FAQs, feel free to email us.

With the name change of all the airport lounges to Delta Sky Club™ from Crown Room Club® and Northwest WorldClubs®, what is the impact on lounge members?

There are no changes to Delta Sky Club (formerly Crown Room Club and WorldClubs) policies or member benefits at this time. You will continue to have uninterrupted access to our worldwide network of Delta Sky Clubs.

Stay informed on the latest lounge information and updates by visiting delta.com/skyclub.

Is my WorldClubs and/or Crown Room Club membership card still valid?

Yes. Your current membership card will continue to be valid through the expiration date noted on the card.

As a former WorldClubs member, will I receive a Delta Sky Club membership number?

Yes. As a part of the October integration of the SkyMiles and the WorldPerks frequent flyer programs, each WorldPerks member has been assigned a SkyMiles account number. This number will double as your Delta Sky Club membership number.

(Your current membership card will continue to work and grant you access to our Clubs through the expiration date noted on the card.)

As a Crown Room Club member, will I receive a new Delta Sky Club membership number?

No. Existing Delta Crown Room Club members will keep their current SkyMiles numbers, which will double as their Delta Sky Club membership numbers.

Are membership fees changing?

No.

What other changes are coming for Delta Sky Club?

All Delta Sky Club members and guests have access to complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the domestic Delta Sky Club network and the lounges continue to offer existing amenities, including complimentary cocktails and snacks, personalized flight assistance, and satellite TV. Delta has harmonized all Delta Sky Club offerings to provide customers one consistent service and product experience, adopting customer favorites from both lounge programs.

If I'm a former WorldClubs member who previously renewed at nwa.com, will I now need to renew at delta.com instead?

Yes. nwa.com no longer features online Club membership enrollment and renewal. All members should now visit delta.com/skyclub to enroll or renew memberships.

Can I purchase a Delta Sky Club membership with miles?

Yes. Mileage redemptions for annual memberships are available to all Delta Sky Club customers.

Will my 3-year WorldClubs membership be honored by the new Delta Sky Club? What is the expiration date of my current Club membership?

Yes. All current Northwest WorldClubs memberships will be honored for Club admission through the expiration date printed on the card. For example, if you just renewed a 3-year WorldClubs membership, it will be valid for 3 years.

Will my Lifetime WorldClubs membership be honored by the new Delta Sky Club?

Yes. All current WorldClubs membership types will be honored. New Lifetime credentials will be mailed in the first quarter of 2010.

Can I call the WorldClubs Service Center with questions?

As part of the integration, the WorldClubs Service Center has closed. Please visit delta.com/skyclub or speak with a representative in any Delta Sky Club location.

Can I still mail in an application?

Yes. You can mail your application to the address noted online, purchase a membership at delta.com/skyclub, or visit any Delta Sky Club location.

Where are the Delta Sky Clubs located?

Visit delta.com/clublocations for Delta Sky Club locations.

Where are the former Northwest Airlines WorldClubs (now Delta Sky Clubs) located?

They are all included in our online listing of Delta Sky Club locations at delta.com/clublocations.

Will I be able to access all the same lounges with a Delta Sky Club membership?

Reciprocal access to Crown Room Clubs and WorldClubs has been in place since the Delta/Northwest merger, so you will still have access to all Delta and Northwest lounges and select partner lounges. Access to partner lounges is subject to change and Delta Sky Club cannot guarantee access to lounges not operated by Delta. Visit delta.com/clublocations for the most updated lounge access information.

Will some of the Clubs be closing? If the Clubs are "consolidating," does this mean they'll be more crowded?

With the integration of Crown Room Clubs and WorldClubs, we are taking a look at each lounge to ensure we are located optimally in relation to Delta arrivals and departures. We are also evaluating traffic within each Club to ensure we have sufficient space to accommodate members. We may consolidate select lounges, but we will notify members as those decisions are made. We will also inform members of any new Club openings.

Why haven't I received my Delta Sky Club membership card when I paid for my membership in September?

The mailing of Delta Sky Club membership packages was temporarily suspended in late September to prepare for the SkyMiles/WorldPerks integration and the complex database transactions associated with it. Now that those integration transactions are complete, we plan to resume mailing Delta Sky Club membership packages around November 4, 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Will Club services like travel assistance (booking flights, etc.) change?

No. Club services will stay the same.

Will different refreshments be served?

By early 2010, Delta plans to harmonize all Delta Sky Club offerings to provide customers with one consistent service and product experience, adopting customer favorites from both lounge programs.

Will Delta Sky Club have bartenders in the Clubs?

By early 2010, Delta plans to harmonize all Delta Sky Club offerings to provide customers with one consistent service and product experience, adopting customer favorites from both lounge programs. Until then, the bar service currently in place will generally remain in most locations (i.e. if the Club currently offers a self-service bar, we will continue with a self-service bar, and bartenders will remain in locations where we currently have them).
