You may have noticed that Delta's name and brand has started replacing Northwest's, and we are coordinating our flight schedules and policies for maximum customer convenience. Full integration of Northwest into Delta will take time and will be completed through a thoughtful integration process over the next 6-12 months.

You should continue to check in, check baggage and do business directly with the airline you are flying just as you did before the merger. Delta and Northwest will gradually consolidate into a single location at each airport throughout 2009 and 2010.
In some airports, Delta and Northwest's operations have been consolidated and only Delta ticket counters exist. If this is the case and you are flying on a Northwest ticket, you may check in at a Delta ticket counter. Terminal information is found on your itinerary at delta.com or via flight and gate status on nwa.com. You may also visit the airport website for additional information.
You and your checked bags will arrive at the terminal of the airline you are flying. If you're flying on Delta, you will arrive at the Delta terminal, and if you're flying on Northwest, you will arrive at the Northwest terminal. Baggage carousel information will be available in your arriving terminal.
Customers seeking information on which carrier is operating a flight purchased from Delta or Northwest can check their flight itineraries at delta.com or nwa.com.

For example, if your boarding pass states "Operated by Delta Air Lines" you should check in with Delta at the airport and/or proceed to the Delta departure gate.
