Cargo Online Booking FAQs

Once I'm in deltacargo.com, can I link back to delta.com?

Yes, there are several links on the left navigation bar such as Cargo Products & Services and Pet Firstsm that will take you back to delta.com.


Why can't I check a shipment from two months ago with the multiple shipment tracking function?

When using the date range fields, you can only check shipments in the system within a date range that is 30 days from the current date.


I want to ship something to an area that is only served by a Delta Connection® flight.

Currently, we only allow shipments to be booked to areas that are served by Delta Air Lines. Flights on The Delta Connection carriers are not available for online booking at this time.


Can I book shipments containing human remains, pets, or to international destinations online?

Currently, the online booking engine is only available for domestic Priority First and DASH shipments. You can contact Delta Air Logistics at 800-DL-CARGO (800-352-2746) for your additional shipping needs.


I noticed a login for deltacargo.com. Why do I have to log in? I didn't have to log in before?

You must now log in to access the booking tool and multiple shipment status history. The only functionality that exists on delta.com is shipment status which you still do not have to log in to use.


Why am I getting the message "Warning: Page has Expired"?

Once you log in, you are in a secure environment. You cannot use the browser back button for security reasons.


Why can't I get my login and password to work?

Login ID's and passwords are case-sensitive and can be no longer than six alpha and/or numeric characters.


Why do I keep getting an error message when I put in my air waybill/reference number?

Please note the following if you're getting an error message:

  • You have selected the appropriate radio button, either air waybill or reference number.
  • You are using an air waybill number and not a reference number.
  • The number you've entered is 8 numeric characters.
  • The 006 prefix in front of the air waybill number cannot be changed.

Why can't I change a reference booking to an air waybill (AWB) number?

A reference number is sufficient for booking online and will be stored in our system to hold your shipment reservation. You will be able to change your reference number to an AWB at the time you tender your freight for shipment.


I entered a commodity type, but when I went to change the booking, it does not appear on the screen?

The commodity type has been stored in our system and will be available on the AWB at the time your shipment is tendered.


The booking screen asks for shipment remarks. What type of remarks should be entered?

Any special instructions that are pertinent for the movement of the shipment.


What if I have more than 9 individual dimensions on box sizes?

The online booking agent can only handle shipments that have 9 or fewer different dimensions. If you have greater than 9 different dimensions for your total shipment, you will need to contact Delta Air Logistics at 800-DL-CARGO (800-352-2746).
