Gift Miles is an online program that allows SkyMiles members to purchase miles for any other SkyMiles member's account. Simply complete the Gift Miles Recipient Information to begin a transaction. When prompted, enter the SkyMiles number and name of the individual(s) to whom you wish to gift miles.

Your Gift Miles order can be charged to a valid American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club, JCB or UATP credit card.
How many miles can I gift to one SkyMiles member?
You are able to give up to 60,000 miles to a SkyMiles member per calendar year.
Can I gift miles to as many people as I wish?
You may give the gift of miles to a maximum of four people in a single transaction. While you can complete as many transactions as desired, you are only able to give up to 60,000 miles to each individual SkyMiles member per calendar year.
What information about the recipient will I need to gift them miles?
You will need the recipient's SkyMiles number and name. Once you provide the recipient's information, the miles will instantly post to the recipient's SkyMiles account for the majority of transactions although please allow up to 24 hours for the miles to post.
How does the recipient receive the Gift Miles I just purchased for their account?
When you enter the recipient's name and SkyMiles account number, the miles will be instantly deposited into the member's account for the majority of transactions although please allow up to 24 hours for the miles to post. If you supplied the recipient's email address they will receive an email notification of your generous gift of miles. If you do not provide the recipient's email address, you will need to advise them of your gift.
How much does Gift Miles cost?
Standard transaction terms are documented on the Gift Miles landing page. Once a mileage purchase is requested and the credit card is charged, the fees and the Gift Mile amounts are not refundable.
How many Gift Miles may an individual SkyMiles member receive?

May I give the gift of miles without knowing the recipient's SkyMiles number?
No. You will need to know the recipient's SkyMiles number to purchase miles for their account.
How can my recipient enroll in SkyMiles?
Your recipient can enroll in the SkyMiles program online at delta.com and immediately receive a SkyMiles account number. It's free to join.
How quickly can miles add up to Awards Travel?
Miles can quickly add up to Award Travel. Roundtrip Award Tickets within the United States are available for as few as 25,000 miles. Do Gift Miles help my recipient or me qualify for Medallion ® status?
No. Gifted miles do not count toward Medallion ® status qualification.
Can I use Gift Miles if I live in Canada?
Yes, the Gift Miles Program is a worldwide program that is available to Canadian residents. The transaction will be subject to applicable taxes.

If I gift miles, will there be Award Tickets available?
Award Travel is dynamic and always changing. Delta cannot guarantee availability. Travel to prime destinations during peak periods may require unrestricted inventory which requires additional miles to secure those seats. Award Travel availability depends on the flight, the date of travel, the expected demand for the flight, the season, the destination, and various other factors.
