Your time is valuable. Whether you're flying for business or going on vacation with your family, we want to help make your travel experience as stress-free as possible.

During your travels, you may run into longer than normal wait times or other airport delays. And even though these delays may be out of Delta's control, we want you to be aware so you can plan accordingly.

Due to construction at San Diego International Airport (SAN), parking availability at Terminal 1 & 2 is reduced. Delta customers are encouraged to reserve, opens in a new window a spot in the Terminal 2 Parking Plaza prior to their day of travel. Valet service is also available curbside in front of Terminal 2 check-in.

Starting on March 29, 2022 flights to/from Paris (CDG), London (LHR) and Amsterdam (AMS) will depart and arrive in Terminal E in Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). If you land on Terminal A you will need to proceed to Terminal E for your next flight. Learn more about how to connect in BOS here.

Beginning September 14, airport roadway rehabilitation projects will take place near the Sacramento International Airport (SMF) causing increased congestion accessing the terminal and the parking garages. Please allow extra time to anticipate delays. 

Korean Authorities require all customers traveling to or via South Korea (ICN) download and install a COVID-19 self-diagnosis mobile app on a cellphone. To ensure a smooth arrival process, Delta recommends that the app be downloaded, and the information requested in the app be completed, prior to travel. Customers are also required to complete a Health Declaration form and a Travel Record Declaration form that will be provided to customers onboard the flight.

Upon arrival, Korean government officials will conduct a temperature check of all arriving customers, verify address and contact information while in South Korea, collect the forms and verify that the COVID-19 self-diagnosis mobile app has been installed and completed.

 

Due to travel restrictions related to COVID-19, customers traveling to the United States from South Korea (ICN) must visit an airport Exit Screening Station, located at Terminal 2 departures level near B counters, to receive a Health Screening Certificate prior to checking in with an agent. At this time, check-in on delta.com, the Fly Delta app or a Delta kiosk will not be available. We strongly encourage all customers to arrive at least 3 hours prior to departure and appreciate your understanding during this time.

Stuttgart airport has advised all its customers they must renovate parts of the runway in the spring of 2020.  As the remaining runway length is insufficient for long haul aircraft to take off and land, Delta will not operate its nonstop service to Atlanta between March 29 and June 17.  Delta customers will continue to enjoy convenient one-stop service to destinations across North America through our partners Air France and KLM via Amsterdam and Paris CDG to the U.S.  Delta’s daily nonstop service to Atlanta will resume effective June 18, 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience.

To make way for the continued expansion of the new terminal at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), some Concourse B departures/arrivals will be serviced with buses. We recommend giving yourself adequate time to connect to flights in or out of these gates.

Effective October 10, 2019, Delta will no longer operate in/out of Sloulin Field International Airport (ISN). All flights to/from Sloulin Field International Airport (ISN) will instead arrive/depart from Williston Basin International Airport (XWA) located approximately 10 miles away at:

We recommend arriving early to get acclimated to the new airport. If needed, there will be a shuttle between airports and a relocated rental car center to make this transition as smooth as possible. 

Effective September 29, 2021, Delta will operate out of Terminal 2 (T2) at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG). Please plan to arrive to the airport 4 hours prior to your scheduled departure time. Customers with club access can enjoy China Eastern 77 lounge located at T2 near boarding gate D77.

The Port Authority is consolidating all taxi pick-up to the west side of the airport, discontinuing taxi pick-ups at Terminals C and D. If you are planning to take a taxi upon arriving in Terminals C and D, Port Authority-operated buses will be available on a continuous loop to take you directly to the taxi area, an approximate 15-minute ride. Port Authority representatives will be on-site for assistance should you have questions.

New Lyft and Uber Pickup Experience at LGA

The pickup experience with Lyft and Uber is now easier and more efficient at LGA.

How it Works:

  1. Request a trip from Uber or Lyft and click “Get Code” 
  2. Walk to the pickup zone by following signage for “App-Based Rides”
  3. Join the line
  4. Show PIN to first available driver and enjoy your ride

Due to airport construction at Burlington (Vt.) International Airport (BTV), please arrive 90 minutes prior to departure to expedite your checking and TSA screening experience.

 

Please be advised of the following requirements to fly to/from South Africa:

Each passenger is required to have at least one fully blank unused passport page.

All minors traveling to or from South Africa are required to show an unabridged birth certificate in addition to their passport when exiting and entering South Africa airport security checkpoints. This Department of Home Affairs requirement applies to children of every nationality whether they are traveling with parents, with an adult other than a parent, or unaccompanied by an adult. Without the correct documents, minors will not be allowed to board their flight.

Documentation requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

In addition to a passport, an original, unabridged, or certified (with seal or stamp) copy of the child’s full birth certificate issued within the last 3 months is required for all trips.

All travel documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation.

Please note: Travelers who arrive in South Africa without the required documentation can be detained and/or deported immediately.

When a minor is traveling with one parent, additional documentation is required. The parent must show the child’s unabridged birth certificate and one of the following documents:

Consent from the other parent in the form of an affidavit authorizing the traveling parent to enter or depart from the Republic of South Africa with their child. This affidavit must come from the other individual who is registered as a parent on the child’s birth certificate. To view a sample affidavit, please Learn more.

A court order granting full parental responsibilities and rights of legal guardianship of the child as the parent or legal guardian of the child.

If applicable, a death certificate of the other individual registered as a parent on the child’s birth certificate.

The next step in Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson’s ongoing construction efforts includes an expansion of the Airport’s T-North concourse. This expansion will impact ATL’s North Economy Parking, closing over 1,000 spaces. While the North Daily parking will remain open, customers are urged to use the South Daily parking lot, the South Economy lot, the West Economy lot, Park-Ride lots A and C, and the International Park-Ride. Effective immediately, a portion of the Terminal 3 arrivals level roadway at LAX will be closed off to public access for five months due to construction. The closure will only impact the three interior lanes used for private/taxi pick up and there will be no change to commercial vehicle (e.g. hotel/rental car shuttles) pick-up procedures. The sidewalk and exterior lanes will remain open during this time. Please allow extra time for pick-up when traveling through T3.

TRAVEL TO/FROM VENICE, ITALY (VCE)

If you are departing VCE, please be advised of the following information:

Due to major airport congestion caused by the ongoing airport renovation at the Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), we encourage all passengers to arrive at least three hours prior to your flight’s departure time and to check in at the airport kiosks on the first floor in order to expedite your airport experience. Passengers who have checked in online must print a boarding pass using the kiosk in order to be able to proceed directly to the North Security check point or to the Delta Bag Drop at lower level.

Please note that check-in counters close promptly one hour before departure. If a flight is delayed, passengers should still check in according to the original flight departure time. Check-in will be located on the Ground Floor level at the Arrivals Area.  After check-in, you can reach the North Security check point by following these steps:

  1. Go to the center hall and take the stairs or elevator to the Departure Level.
  2. Look for airport signage directing you to the North Security check point, as a Delta customer you will have a dedicated entry point along with other customers flying on U.S carriers direct to the USA.

Passengers in need of wheelchair assistance will need to call an airport authority wheelchair representative using the intercom once they have arrived at VCE. If you are arriving in VCE, please be advised of the following information: 

Renovation work is affecting the VCE arrival area for all airlines. Delta Welcome Agents will be present and able to answer any questions, including directing passengers to the Airports Baggage Service Office for any baggage issues.

Due to the expansion of Guarulhos International Airport, Delta's check-in counter has moved from Terminal 2C to Terminal 2B.

Please be advised you may experience long travel times between Immigrations / Security area and Delta gates due to ongoing construction efforts at Pier C of Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport (SCL). Delta check-in at SCL opens 3 hours prior to departure. We recommend you arrive at least 2 hours prior to your departure time. Please be advised that the TSA security checkpoint at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky airport closes at 9pm local time. Please arrive at the airport prior to 9pm, even if your flight is delayed, to ensure that you have plenty of time to get through the security checkpoint before it closes.
