Want to get the most out of using those miles you've earned toward Award Travel? Here are some tips and hints that might help.

Plan ahead

Award Travel seats may become available 331 days before a flight's departure. (Who plans a trip that far in advance? Some people do. You can too, if you want.) During those 331 days, the number of available seats will change, so the earlier you reserve your seats, the more likely you are to get the flights you want on the days you want.

Be flexible with your schedule and origin/destination

Award Travel availability depends on the flight, the date of travel, the expected demand for the flight, the season, the destination and various other factors. If you can fly a day or two earlier or later, pick a different airport, (or even a different destination) you'll have a lot more possibilities to choose from.

Search for available seats

Go to Award Ticket and log in (if you're not logged in already). There you can search for seats on the flights you want.
