Medallion® Benefits Terms and Conditions
Medallion® Complimentary Upgrades are subject to availability and may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Complimentary Upgrades are not available on flights that are serviced with our BusinessElite® product, except on flights between New York/JFK and Los Angeles or San Francisco. Taxes (and if applicable, fees) for Award Travel are the responsibility of the passenger and must be paid at the time the ticket is booked. Award Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Complimentary Upgrades for Award Tickets and Pay with Miles reservations are offered to Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion members and will be upgraded beginning at the eligible Medallion tier window based on availability and are not eligible for Complimentary Companion Upgrades
Economy Comfort™ seating will be offered on Delta's two-cabin aircraft. Economy Comfort seating is limited and may not be available on all flights. Increased recline and complimentary spirits are only offered as a benefit on select international flights. Economy Comfort fees are charged per customer per segment. Economy Comfort Medallion travel companion benefit is applicable for up to eight companions traveling on the same reservation as the Medallion member. Gold Medallion members receive Economy Comfort at no charge on Domestic travel and 50% off on international travel; Silver Medallion members and their travel companions will receive a 50% discount for domestic travel and 25% discount for international travel. Discounts are applied to the published one-way fee. For companions of Gold and Silver Medallion members, fees apply per seat. Economy Comfort discounts are determined based on the customer's status at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to assign or reassign an Economy Comfort seat at any time, even after boarding of the aircraft, for operational, safety or security reasons. The final decision resides with the ground staff and the operating crew on the day of the flight. In the event you have paid for and are not accommodated into an Economy Comfort seat you are entitled to a refund in the amount paid for the seat. If a customer is moved to a comparable or better seat, a refund will not be issued to that passenger.
Miles and MQMs earned only for Z class revenue tickets purchased on or after March 2, 2013 for travel on or after March 6, 2013. S class is no longer a Business class fare as of March 2, 2013.
Miles and MQMs earned only for G class revenue tickets purchased on or after March 19, 2013 for travel on or after March 20, 2013.
Rollover benefit means Medallion Qualification Miles earned in 2013 above a member’s earned Medallion threshold level will roll over to 2014 and count toward 2015 Medallion status qualification. Members who receive complimentary or gifted Medallion status are ineligible for rollover MQMs unless they earn more MQMs than the gifted status requirement. For example, if a member is gifted Silver Medallion status in 2013 and also earns 30,000 MQMs in 2013, s/he will be able to roll over 5,000 MQMs since the Silver Medallion requirement is 25,000 MQMs.
In order to receive the Medallion mileage bonus, a member must earn Medallion status through either the required Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) or Medallion Qualification Segments (MQSs). Members who receive complimentary Medallion status waive the Medallion mileage bonus for the complimentary Medallion year (excludes members who receive complimentary annual Medallion status through the Million Miler™ program or Choice Benefits gifted Medallion status).

Choice Benefits are effective immediately for members earning Diamond or Platinum Medallion status. Members who are awarded complimentary Diamond or Platinum Medallion status must fly a minimum of 14 or 8 Delta-marketed and -operated flights segments after status is awarded to be eligible for Choice Benefits, respectively. Please allow 6-8 weeks for fulfillment of Choice Benefits. For selections made for 2013 Choice Benefits, companion status is good through February 28, 2014; for selections made for 2014 Choice Benefits, companion status is good through February 28, 2015.

Complimentary access to most worldwide SkyTeam® lounges is available to Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion members when traveling in any cabin on a same-day international SkyTeam operated flight. Members must present membership card and their same-day ticket for an international SkyTeam operated flight or same-day domestic SkyTeam operated flight connecting to an international SkyTeam operated flight for SkyTeam lounge access. SkyTeam lounge benefits are provided only at the departure airport and not at the arrival airport unless connecting to a qualifying SkyTeam flight. One guest allowed.
Complimentary access to most worldwide SkyTeam lounges is available to Silver Medallion members when traveling in First/Business class when traveling on a same-day ticket for an international or domestic flight connecting to an international SkyTeam flight. No guests allowed.
