Why does Delta require accreditation in addition to the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC)?

Delta Air Lines, Inc. maintains appointment standards which are separate from and may be more stringent than those of the ARC.

Why does Delta require additional security considering that ARC already has a Surety Bond or Letter of Credit?

ARC's requirement covers all carriers’ exposure which may not be adequate to cover Delta's potential exposure.

How does Delta determine if additional security is required and for what amount?

An independent credit evaluation is performed by Delta following receipt of your completed application package. Notification of Delta's decision regarding security requirements is provided as soon as possible following the evaluation.

What if I do not pay debit memos?

Failure to pay may result in the immediate termination of your Delta appointment, which will prohibit the agency from participating in the sale of Delta air transportation and services, including booking active, passive or claiming Delta segments in any computer reservations systems. If, after termination, your agency wishes to be reconsidered as an authorized Delta Air Lines ticketing agent, you will be required to complete an application package, return the validation plate, and pay in full all outstanding debit memos. A nonrefundable fee of $500.00 will be charged for the application process.

Why has Delta changed the Debit Memo format?

Changes to the memo consist primarily of the removal of the ticket image to assure privacy of passenger information. Removal of passenger information assures passenger privacy, allows for electronic submission, and the ability to resolve debit memo issues quicker, which is beneficial to all. The new memo is cost effective and has electronic features that will be beneficial to all in the future.

Why do I have to pay an application fee, return my validation plate, and fill out an application since I have now paid my debit memos?

The notification letter sent to the agency advised that if debit memos were not paid by the due date, the agency might be terminated for failures to pay debit memos. If, after termination, your agency wishes to be reconsidered as an authorized Delta Air Lines ticketing agent, you will be required to complete an application package, return the validation plate and pay in full all outstanding debit memos. How do I get a Delta validation plate?

Once your agency has received ARC notification of approval, a written request on agency letterhead, signed by the owner or manager, along with a copy of the notification of approval should be submitted to the Corporate Credit Department. This request may be faxed to (404) 773-2024.

How do I get a replacement validation plate?

A written request on agency letterhead, signed by the owner or manager, along with a copy of the notification of approval should be submitted to the Corporate Credit Department requesting a replacement for a damaged, lost, or stolen validation. This request may be faxed to the Corporate Credit Department at (404) 773-2024 or emailed to CorpCredit.Delta@delta.com for lost or stolen plates. Replacement requests for stolen plates should be accompanied with a copy of the police report. Damaged plate replacement requests should be mailed to the Corporate Credit Department along with the damaged plate to:

If my agency appointment is canceled by Delta, can we still book and or ticket reservations?

Cancellation of the agency appointment will prohibit the agency from participating in the sale of Delta air transportation and services, including booking active, passive or claiming Delta segments in any computer reservation system.
