Cancellation and Revision Fee Policy

Delta Air Lines will assess a fee for all voluntary rerouting or cancellations for most advance purchase fares. It is your responsibility to properly inform your customers of additional fare collections, restrictions and fees associated with these changes.

NOTE: Fees on refunded tickets for excursion fares will apply even if your computer reservation system failed to print a cancellation or revision fee message in the endorsement box of the ticket.

Exceptions

The below are exceptions to the cancellation and revision fees policy:

Death

In the event of death, of the ticketed passenger, a refund will be processed for the deceased and any traveling companion(s). Request must include a copy of the death certificate and submitted within one year of the original date of issue.

In the event there is a death of an immediate family member, of the ticketed passenger, a refund will be processed if the death occurred within 30 days of the scheduled travel. In order to receive a refund, the passenger must submit a copy of the death certificate and state the relationship to the deceased.

Refund must be processed by Delta Air Lines, Inc. Both request types require an electronic ticket number or a paper ticket document along with a copy of the death certificate. Please forward information to the below address:

Involuntary Rerouting (Irregular Operations)

Refunds per Irregular operations will be handled by the Delta Air Lines personnel at the airport.

Involuntary Rerouting (Schedule Change)

Delta Air Lines will do everything possible to reaccommodate our mutual customers on alternate flights. Please contact the Global Service Center for assistance.
