Delta Introduces Full Flat-Bed Seats in more European Markets

 

Between Atlanta and Zurich

Delta is introducing its new full flat-bed BusinessElite seats on flights between Atlanta and Zurich. The new flat-bed seat is being showcased at this year’s TTW Deutschschweiz in Zurich.

Delta will introduce the new onboard product in November and will offer nearly 400 full flat-bed seats per week for the business customer.  In addition, Delta has also invested in its economy class with seats that provide additional legroom, individual entertainment screens as well as USB power at each seat.   Delta operates a daily nonstop service between Atlanta and Zurich in the summer and up to five times weekly in the winter with a Boeing 767-300ER as well as summer seasonal service between New York-JFK and Zurich.

Between New York-JFK and Barcelona

Delta is introducing its new full flat-bed BusinessElite seats on flights between New York-JFK and Barcelona, becoming the only U.S. carrier to offer a full flat-bed on the route. By mid-2014, Delta will be the only U.S. carrier to offer full flat-bed seating with direct-aisle access on its entire international widebody fleet.

Delta will offer 260 full flat-bed seats each week when the new BusinessElite seats become available from 1 Nov. 2013, operating five-times weekly between New York and Barcelona with a Boeing 767-300 during winter.

Passengers flying into New York-JFK will benefit from Delta’s new JFK Terminal 4, part of a $1.4 billion project to create a state-of-the-art international gateway. One of the largest terminals in North America, Terminal 4 offers travelers a spacious environment with a wide variety of shopping and dining options. BusinessElite customers can enjoy the new Sky Deck at the Delta Sky Club in Terminal 4 which offers customers the opportunity to experience an outdoor airport terrace with unprecedented runway views without leaving the comfort of the Club.
