Delta Expands and Offers New Service to Several Cities in the Caribbean

 

Expansion between Atlanta and The Bahamas

Delta announced the expansion of its service between Atlanta and Freeport in The Bahamas, from a Saturday only flight to daily service. This daily flight will operate from December 19, 2013 to August 18, 2014.

Delta introduced this service expansion as a response to an increased demand for more connections between United States cities and the best tourist destinations in the Caribbean.

New Daily Seasonal Flight between Atlanta and Haiti

Delta recently announced the introduction of new daily seasonal service between Atlanta and Port-au-Prince in Haiti. The flight will operate from June 5, 2014 to August 18, 2014, using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 160 seats.

Delta offers customers a new option to travel to this beautiful and special destination in the Caribbean, recognizing the efforts being made by Haiti to rebuild after 2010 earthquake and bringing tourists a vibrant alternative for active vacationing, to discover the wonders of Haitian landscapes, traditions and cuisine as well as its legendary culture.

New Saturday Flight between LaGuardia and Aruba

Delta announced the return of Saturday seasonal service from LaGuardia, New York to Aruba, operating from December 21, 2013 to August 16, 2014. The route will be serviced by a Boeing 737-800 with 160 seats of capacity.

Delta is re-introducing this service as a response to an increased demand for more connections between United States cities and the best tourist destinations in the Caribbean.

Delta is the only airline offering the convenience of non-stop service between Aruba and LaGuardia. The new route will complement Delta’s existing services between Aruba and Atlanta and JFK, New York.

Delta invested $160 million to modernize and connect Terminals C and D at LaGuardia airport with work on a connector bridge between the two terminals. Delta provides service to more destinations from New York-LaGuardia and New York-JFK combined than any other airline.
