KLM Offers Travel Options for Customers Affected by Unrest in the Stockholm Area

KLM is offering travel options for customers who wish to make a voluntary itinerary change because their flight plans may be impacted by the ongoing unrest in the Stockholm, Sweden suburbs.

The following voluntary re-book options, as detailed on the “Flight Disruptions” page on klm.com, are offered to customers ticketed to and from Stockholm (ARN) on Sunday, May 26, 2013 and Monday, May 27, 2013.

Change of Travel Dates

Customers may re-schedule their travel, using the following guidelines:

  • Customers may change one outbound journey and one inbound journey on KLM, Air France and/or Delta Air Lines flights free of charge.
  • If the journey is to, from or via any of the above mentioned airports, the new departure date should be no later than Friday May 31, 2013, the original duration of stay remains unchanged.
  • Penalties and change fees do not apply.
  • Re-booking is possible only if seats are available in the same booking class as stated in the original ticket.
  • If only a higher booking class than the one stated in the original ticket is available, than the difference in fare will be charged when rebooking. Customers do not have to pay a change fee.
  • If the journey is beyond Friday, May 31, 2013, then the difference in fare will be charged when rebooking. Customers do not have to pay a change fee.
  • If the journey is to, from or via any of the above mentioned airports, rebooking must be done at the latest on Friday, May 31, 2013.

Change of Destination

Customers may use the full value of their original tickets to buy new tickets of the same or a higher KLM, Air France and/or Delta Air Lines fare.

  • Penalties and change fees do not apply.
  • If the journey is to, from or via any of the above mentioned airports, rebooking and re-issuing must be done at the latest on Friday, May 31, 2013.

Refunds

Customers are entitled to a full refund of their ticket if:

  • Their flight on Sunday, May 26, 2013 or Monday, May 27, 2013, to any of the above mentioned airports was cancelled by KLM, Air France and/or Delta Air Lines, or their flight was delayed for more than 3 hours and the customer did not travel.
