April 9, 2013 - Agencies in the U.S. and Canada that subscribe to Travelport GDSs are now able to access the Travel Option Integrator (TOI) offering the ability to sell Economy Comfort seats.
May 22, 2013 – Agencies in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands and United Kingdom that subscribe to Travelport GDSs as noted above are now able to access the Travel Options Integrator (TOI), which allows the ability to sell Economy Comfort seats.
June 27, 2013 - All agencies, in 76 additional countries that subscribe to Travelport GDSs are now able to access the Travel Options Integrator (TOI), which allows the ability to sell Economy Comfort seats.
July 9, 2013 – All agencies in 56 additional countries as noted above that subscribe to Travelport GDSs will also be able to access the Travel Options Integrator. This is the final phase completing the worldwide launch of the sale of Delta Economy Comfort through Travelport GDSs.
Economy Comfort booking instructions will be provided to travel agencies by Travelport.

Advance seat assignments are not available on Delta Shuttle flights.

The sale of Economy Comfort seats is enabled in the travel agency workflow.
Travel agents will to view the seat map indicating the availability of Economy Comfort seats, select a seat, process payment ,as well as, have the ability to change a seat.
Once the seat is successfully added or modified, Delta will send an Economy Comfort Seat confirmation number in the response.

The Travel Options Integrator product enables agencies to purchase Economy Comfort seats for their customers and settle the transaction directly with Delta.

Seat Fee Refund Policy Effective May 2, 2013
Economy Comfort seat purchases are non-refundable, except for involuntary situations. Economy Comfort seat purchases made prior to May 2, 2013, will continue to be refundable.
A refund of the original seat purchase will not be issued if a customer voluntarily changes his or her Economy Comfort seat to a different seat-type once purchased. A voluntary change of a paid seat occurs when a customer:
Customers who have purchased an Economy Comfort seat on a flight segment will have the ability to switch within the original seat-type purchased without penalty.
If a customer purchases an Economy Comfort seat and Delta reassigns the customer to a different seat for operational, safety, or security reasons, the customer will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid for the Economy Comfort seat, unless the following occurs:
Exceptions to the non-refundable seat fee policy may apply. Examples are noted below. These refunds may only be requested online at www.delta.com or by contacting your Sales Support Centers or the local Delta Reservations office.
The credit card transaction for the Economy Comfort seat sale is processed directly with Delta. Therefore, refunds for the above exceptions may only be requested online at www.delta.com or by contacting your Sales Support Centers or the local Delta Reservations office.

Q. What ancillary products will be available for sale under Delta’s new agreement with Travelport?
A. Delta has agreed to make Economy Comfort available for sale to travel agencies using the Travelport GDS systems: Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan.
Q. When will the Economy Comfort product be available for sale via Travelport?
A. The Economy Comfort seat product became available through Travelport April 9, 2013 in the U.S. and Canada. Global expansion began on May 22, 2013 and was completed on July 9, 2013.
Q. Why is the seat purchase not settled through ARC or BSPLink?
A. The Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD), the industry standard solution to settle ancillary fees, is not available for external transactions. In order to allow agencies to sell Economy Comfort seats as soon as possible, the credit card direct settlement with Delta enables agencies to provide additional products to their customers.
Q. How will agencies refund unused seats?
A. Economy Comfort seat purchases made on or after May 2, 2013 are non-refundable, except for involuntary situations and exceptions noted above. All Economy Comfort seat sales are purchased directly with Delta and therefore all refunds are processed with Delta. Q. Why is Delta enabling the sale of Economy Comfort seats through third party channels?
A. Delta is working closely with Travelport and other GDSs to ensure that Delta’s unique product offerings meet customer demands for an efficient and effective customer experience. Delta is committed to enabling the sale of products and services that are important to our customers. Distributing these services in the GDS in a differentiated and non-commoditized way is core to Delta’s decision to provide access through third party distributors.
Q. Will other Delta ancillary products be available for sale by Travelport subscribers?
A. Not at this time. Additional ancillary products may be considered in the future.
