Today, Delta’s codeshare partner Virgin Australia (VA), as well as their subsidiary formerly known as Virgin Blue (DJ), are migrating to a new Sabre reservations system. The migration is expected to occur between 11:00a.m. EST on Friday, January 11, 2013, through 1:45p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 EST, provided that there are no unexpected technical issues related to this migration.
During the migration, no VA/DJ flights will be available for sale, and no changes will be processed for itineraries including VA/DJ flights. Travel agents can continue to book DL*/VA-operated flights and VA*/DL-operated flights as these flights will not be affected during the migration.
Virgin Australia ran a schedule change for all PNRs affected by the migration. Travel agencies should follow normal schedule change procedures to reissue tickets issued on DL 006 ticket stock.
For general questions and for questions regarding manual check-in for flights on Friday, January 11 and Saturday, January 12, travel agencies can contact VA at 877-898-2878 or 310-641-4395. For emergency situations that cannot wait for a call back, please contact 855-253-8021.
