Air France – Situation in Bangui - January 4, 2013

Air France – Situation in Bangui

Due to the situation in Bangui, Air France has implemented specific commercial instructions to allow voluntary rebooking options for customers who wish to change their journey.

Voluntary changes (flight scheduled to operate):

  • All ticketed Air France customers traveling to/from BGF from Friday, January 4, 2013 to Thursday, January 24, 2013, may rebook their flights without penalty, regardless of the fare purchased.
  • Rebooking in the same booking class is permitted on AF/KL only for departures through Wednesday, March 13, 2013. If the original booking class is not available, book the next higher class and collect the applicable fare difference.
  • One outbound and one inbound change is permitted.
  • For customers who wish to change their point of origin/destination, use the full value of the unused flight coupons towards the purchase of a new ticket to/from any origin/destination at any DL/KL/AF fare, waiving any penalties and collecting any fare difference or refunding any residual amount in the form of a non-refundable EMD/MPD.
Refund according to fare rules. If the ticket is non-refundable, issue a non-refundable EMD/MPD for the full value of the unused flight coupons, valid for one year on Air France or KLM.
  • Tickets must be reissued by January 24, 2013.

Involuntary changes (flight cancelled or delayed by more than 5 hours for long-haul, more than 3 hours for short and medium-haul flights)

  • Apply the generic “Commercial Instruction – Level 1” found on www.afkl.biz

Travel agents may visit afkl.biz for complete details and any applicable rebooking instructions should flight irregularities occur.

To find current flight changes and rebooking instructions on www.afkl.biz, please follow these steps: From the top of the Home Page:
