Delta, Virgin Atlantic Unveil New Schedule between Atlanta
and Los Angeles and London Heathrow

Airlines to transfer Atlanta and Los Angeles flights, expanding options for customers between Heathrow and both cities

(May 21, 2014) - Effective Oct. 26, 2014, Delta will begin operating one of two daily Los Angeles -Heathrow flights currently operated by Virgin Atlantic. This new Delta service will mark the airline's first nonstop flight between Los Angeles and London Heathrow and is Delta's seventh nonstop destination between the United States and London. Virgin Atlantic will begin operating one of Delta's three daily flights between Atlanta and Heathrow. The new services will expand the award-winning service offered by both carriers to customers as well as provide greater choice for travel between North America and the U.K. The two airlines will codeshare on each other's operated services, allowing Delta and Virgin customers seamless access to the expanded network.

Combined, the two airlines operate a total of 32 peak daily nonstop flights between North America and the U.K., including 24 flights between London Heathrow and popular U.S. destinations.  Delta recently co-located its New York, Boston and Seattle routes into Terminal 3 – Virgin Atlantic's home at Heathrow Airport. This move provided additional choice and flexibility to customers while reducing onward transit times.

Virgin Atlantic will continue to operate two daily services to Los Angeles and Delta will continue to fly three daily services to Atlanta, until Oct. 26, 2014.

Virgin Atlantic mettra en service l’un des trois vols quotidiens de Delta entre Atlanta et Heathrow. Les nouveaux vols étendront l’offre de service exceptionnel proposée par les deux compagnies aériennes à leurs clients, en élargissant les possibilités de voyage entre l’Amérique du Nord et le Royaume-Uni. Les deux compagnies aériennes recourront au partage de code sur les services exploités par l’autre partie, donnant ainsi aux clients de Delta et de Virgin un accès continu à un réseau élargi.
