Update on Travel Impact Due to FAA Furloughs

(April 21, 2013) - On behalf of our partners, customers and employees, Delta Air Lines is disappointed that furloughs of Federal Aviation Administration personnel will result in delays and cancellations across the national air transportation system. The FAA has advised Delta that furlough-driven delays are most likely to occur at the following 10 airports:

  • Chicago-O'Hare (ORD)
  • Chicago-Midway (MDW)
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL)
  • Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Newark Liberty (EWR)
  • New York-JFK (JFK)
  • New York-LaGuardia (LGA)
  • Philadelphia (PHL)
  • San Diego (SAN)
  • San Francisco (SFO)

Delta will continue to do everything possible to mitigate these delays for our customers.
As always, we encourage travelers to check their flight status at delta.com or on the
Fly Delta app before arriving at the airport.

Partners and travelers may contact their representatives in Congress about the FAA furloughs at www.dontgroundamerica.com.

Be assured that Delta will provide travel professionals with the most up-to-date information and travelers with assistance as necessary.

  • Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
  • Chicago-Midway (MDW)
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL)
  • Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Newark Liberty (EWR)
  • New York-JFK (JFK)
  • New York-LaGuardia (LGA)
  • Philadelphie (PHL)
  • San Diego (SAN)
  • San Francisco (SFO)
