Delta Air Lines is offering travel options for customers who wish to make a voluntary itinerary change because their flight plans may be impacted by the winter weather in the upper Midwest region of the U.S.

Note: DL/AF/KL policies may vary between carriers due to local operational circumstances and limitations.

Dates of Impacted Travel: April 10, 2013 through April 11, 2013

Delta will waive administrative change fees and travel agents may rebook and reissue tickets provided the below guidelines are met and applied:
Applicable to tickets issued on or before: April 9, 2013
New travel must originate on or before: April 15, 2013
New travel must be rebooked no later than: April 15, 2013
Ticket must be reissued on or before: April 15, 2013
Minimum/Maximum Stay Requirements may be waived under these circumstances:

If customers are unable to rebook or reissue their ticket within the given timeline, they can cancel their reservation and use the value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket for a period of one year from the date of original issuance.

Connecting customers’ enroute to one of the above-listed destinations or whose flights are diverted should work directly with the airport to rebook their travel.
If a customer’s flight is cancelled due to this event, and no other alternate flights are acceptable, travel agents may refund a totally unused non-refundable ticket(s) through normal ARC/BSP processing.

Air France – Upper Midwest USA Winter Weather – April 9, 2013
Due to winter weather conditions forecasted for the Upper Midwest in the United States from Wednesday, April 10 through Thursday, April 11, 2013, Air France has implemented specific commercial instructions. Ticketed passengers with flights on the above dates to/from/via Minneapolis, MN (MSP), Sioux Falls, SD (FSD) and Rapid City, SD (RAP) may rebook their flights without charge regardless of the fare purchased.
Voluntary Changes (Flights scheduled to operate):
Rebooking in the same cabin on AF/KL/DL/AZ only, is permitted for departures no later than Monday, April 15, 2013. The ticketed or lowest available class in the same cabin must be used.
Tickets must be reissued by April 15, 2013.
If the ticketed flight is operating, refund according to fare rules. If the ticket is non-refundable, issue a non-refundable EMD/MPD for the full value of the unused flight coupons, valid for one year on Air France or KLM.
Customers who wish to change their point of origin or destination may use the full value of the unused flight coupons towards the purchase of a new ticket to/from any origin/destination at any AF/KL fare, waiving any penalties and collecting any fare difference or refunding any difference with a non-refundable EMD/MPD for future travel. Tickets must be reissued by April 15, 2013.
Involuntary Changes (Flight cancelled or delayed for more than 5 hours for long-haul flights, 3 hours or more for short and medium-haul flights):
Apply the generic “Commercial Instructions – Level 1” found on www.afkl.biz as shown below.

Select the drop-down menu “NEWS & PROMOTIONS – AF-Schedule Changes – Daily Report/Flash” which will indicate current flight changes.
