Flight Attendant Training

Aircraft-Specific Flight Attendant Training

Training consists of aircraft familiarization, emergency equipment, aircraft systems, and door and window operations. Equipment training is offered for the following aircraft: B-727, 737, 757, 767, 777, MD-88/90, MD-11, and DC-9.

Crew Resource Management

Stresses the importance of communication and teamwork among the flight and cabin crew. Covers such topics as situational awareness, distraction management, leadership, conflict resolution, and decision making in a lively and interactive format.

Customized Initial Flight Attendant Training

Provides new flight attendants with an introduction to the airline industry, concepts of flight, and extensive safety and service training. We provide rigorous emergency and first aid training, as well as customer service skills necessary for achieving excellence in today's competitive airline industry. The training utilizes computer based training, classroom presentations, participant role plays, and extensive hands-on-training in simulators and mockups. Initial flight attendant curriculum is fully customizable based on client and FAA requirements.

Customized Recurrent Flight Attendant Training

Provides currently-qualified flight attendants with review, practice, and proficiency checks on the type of aircraft they fly. Recurrent training emphasizes emergency procedures and first aid training, as well as other safety and/or security-related topics that are identified as needing special emphasis. The Recurrent Flight Attendant Training curriculum is fully customizable based on client and FAA requirements.

Customer Service 101

Introduction to cabin service considerations such as flight attendant duties and responsibilities, grooming, time management, service-related cultural and religious awareness, and business etiquette.

Customer Service 201

Introduction to cabin service duties and responsibilities including various aspects of in-flight dining, wine, and beverage service.

Emergency Procedures Training

Program can complement both our initial and recurrent flight attendant training programs. The following emergency procedures modules are available and can be customized to meet the needs of each client. Each emergency procedures module emphasizes hands-on drill and practice activities for each student.

Fundamentals of Aviation for Flight Attendants

Introduction to the fundamentals of flight (This course is usually provided with Initial Flight Attendant Training).

International Flight Attendant Training

Covers safety, paperwork, and service issues, as well as passport and customs regulations that are specific to international flights. This module also reviews cultural and religious awareness as well as specific business etiquette required for the global marketplace.

On-Board Leader (International)

For the flight attendant who supervises other flight attendants on international flights and has responsibility for the flight. This course covers effective briefings, communication and teamwork skills, how to provide coaching and feedback to others, and rules, regulations, and security issues pertaining to international flights.

On-Board Leader (Domestic)

For the flight attendant who supervises other flight attendants on domestic flights and has responsibility for the flight. This module also covers cultural and religious awareness, as well as business etiquette required for the global marketplace.

Operational Experience Supervisor

Focuses on the desired flight attendant performance onboard the aircraft. It also discusses when coaching is and is not acceptable, how to provide objective feedback, and how to resolve conflict.

Security

Provides an updated overview of security issues and procedures and discusses the role of the flight attendant in preventive security. This course is based on the most current information from the FAA, TSA, and DOT and makes extensive use of case studies and role-play activities.


Professional Development

American Heart Association – BLS Healthcare Provider

Teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). The program is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

American Heart Association – HeartSaver AED

Teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and the use of an AED. Students also learn about using barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction.

American Heart Association – HeartSaver CPR

Teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child, and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of a heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children.

Assessment and Selection for Hiring

Provides comprehensive selection process for assessment and selection for hiring can be custom-designed to align with your company's culture and objectives. Core competencies are developed to match the job description. The process consists of personality and cognitive assessments, a work simulation based on real work scenarios, and in-depth interviews. Personality profiles are created and recommendations are made to hiring managers.

Assessment Techniques/Performance Feedback

Provides techniques for evaluating and providing feedback for skill-based assessments. Focuses on ensuring assessment is consistent and reliable and the desired performance for each skill is clearly defined. The course also discusses when coaching is and is not acceptable and how to provide objective feedback.

Comprehensive Professional Development

Designed to help leaders, from front-line managers to high-level executives, gain an in-depth understanding of themselves and the impact they have on others within their organizations. Participants complete a variety of assessments that identify strengths and developmental needs. Based on the assessment results, leaders will receive ongoing coaching to build new skills in order to better address such things as challenging situations, difficult personnel problems, adapting to change, and making complex decisions in a dynamic work environment. Leaders will also learn to adjust their leadership styles to meet the ever-changing needs of the current organizational climate.

Facilitation Skills

Provides training on presenting information, demonstrating techniques, and assessing skills designed for technical facilitators. This course covers adult learning theory, encouraging participation, and presentation skills for the facilitator who will be involved in demonstrations and hands-on activities in mockups and simulators, as well as in the classroom.

Invest In Yourself Workshops

Focuses on specific topics which will help improve business skills, and will also carry over into all aspects of life. The following types of workshops are offered: management/leadership skills, people skills (including communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution), personal development ethics, and stress & anxiety management.

Leadership for Manager

Provides front-line supervisors with the skills they need to be successful. The course focuses on identifying personal leadership styles and developing leadership skills such as communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and managing change. The course also includes comprehensive performance evaluation and coaching for success.

Mentoring and Coaching

Describes what coaching is and how it is distinct from mentoring, training, counseling, or teaching. Covers basic coaching skills such as listening, questioning, evoking, clarifying, requesting, trust and rapport building, challenging, acknowledging, collaborating, and action planning.

Personal Defense Training

Based on extensive tactical, legal, and medical research and techniques are quick, simple, and easy to learn. The system is based on controlling the most common types of resistance. Research has proven with validity that simple is best. The training focuses on utilizing gross motor skills as these are the least affected when under high stress. The methodology is based on minimizing the number of skills used while increasing confidence through repetition. This lessens the time required to process, select, and respond to a threat. With fractions of a second between life and death, a simple system based on fewer skills can increase chances for survival.

Road Warrior Training

Designed for the frequent traveler or passengers who are uneasy with the travel experience. This course provides a greater understanding of airline safety, in-flight crew training, travel health, and security. It is a seven-hour, hands on course providing participants the opportunity to learn safety policy and procedures from an insider's point of view. This type of training is an investment in well-being of those individuals who spend so much of their time in the air.
