We now offer freight claim forms online to assist our cargo customers in the claims process. Air freight that has been lost, delayed, or damaged, must first be reported by the shipper or consignee (receiver) to the local cargo office before completing a claim form. All claims must be submitted on approved Delta Cargo claim forms.
Service failures or claims for overcharges, must be submitted to Delta within sixty (60) days after the date of acceptance of the shipment by Delta. Damage and/or loss discovered by the consignee after a clear receipt must be reported in writing at the destination within fifteen (15) days after delivery of the shipment. While awaiting inspection by Delta, the consignee must hold the shipping container and its contents in the same condition as when the damage was discovered. Before a claim will be considered by Delta, transportation charges applicable to the shipment must be paid.
