DASH

General Information

DASH (DSH) is Delta Cargo’s flight specific small express package service.  DASH shipments have the highest boarding priority and fastest transit time of any Delta Cargo product.  DASH is offered throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  All DASH shipments require pre-payment at origin station.  See our product and rates in PDF format.

Restrictions

  • DASH shipments consist of a single piece.  Two or more pieces securely fastened together in one bundle shall be considered as one piece, provided the bundle does not exceed Delta’s size and weight restrictions.
  • Dimensions must not exceed 90 inches (length x width x height) and a maximum weight of 100 pounds per piece, maximum 1000 pounds per AWB.
  • If booked electronically, the maximum liability is $750.00 USD per piece or the value declared, whichever is less.
  • Service Level Guarantee is 100% of freight charges paid when booked electronically. Does not include surcharges and declared value fees.
  • DASH may not be interlined with any other carrier that does NOT have a small package interline agreement with Delta, with the exception of Delta Connection® carriers.
  • Individual carrier restrictions (i.e. size, weight, specific commodities, cities served, etc.) shall apply when transportation is routed on Delta’s Connection Carriers.
  • DASH shipments containing dangerous goods shall not be tendered for interline transport.

Booking

DASH is not required to be booked, but you may book your shipment at deltacargo.com, CPS (Cargo Portal Services), or call the Cargo Call Center at 1.800.DLCARGO (1.800.352.2746).

Drop-off/Pick-up

Shipments must be accepted at least 60 minutes prior to the confirmed flight departure.

You need to take your shipment to the local DASH cargo facility for shipping and pick it up at the local DASH cargo facility at the destination.

Special Handling

  • All DASH shipments must be accepted at your local DASH cargo facility at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure.
  • Your DASH shipment will be available for pick-up 60 minutes after the actual flight arrives.

Documentation

  • Each piece of the shipment must be legibly and durably marked with the name and address of the shipper and consignee.  Old labels and markings must be removed or obliterated. 
  • Use the U.S.-based DASH Air Waybill.
  • All DASH shipments to San Juan should be accompanied by a copy the Commercial Invoice which states the value of the shipment.

Regulations

All DASH shipments will follow IATA Rules for shipping.

Shipping Tips:

  • Make sure your shipment is accepted at least 60 minutes prior to flight departure.
  • Make sure shipment is properly packaged.
  • Make sure all documents are complete.

Packaging

Shipments must be packed so as to ensure safe carriage with ordinary care in handling and so as not to injure or damage any persons or property.
