Cohesion

General Information

This product is a customized solution that benefits you with personalized information and handling guidelines specifically tailored to your freight needs.

Cohesion is a selective, fully customized solution for import and export business, using a 3-way contract between the airline, the freight forwarder and customer.

Drop-off/Pick-up

You need to take your shipment to the local cargo facility for shipping and pick it up at the local cargo facility at the destination.

Restrictions

A specific contract is issued for the determined period between the shipper, the freight forwarder, and the SkyTeam carrier.  Each contract uniquely defines the special traffic for which it was created including expected commodity and frequency.

Booking

Booking guidelines are established in the contract signed between the airline, the freight forwarder and the customer.

Special Handling

The Cohesion product is customized with handling guidelines tailored to the customers’ needs.

Cohesion must be appropriately marked using the special handling code VIP.

Documentation

Each piece of the shipment must be legibly and durably marked with the name and address of the shipper and consignee.  Old labels and markings must be removed or obliterated.

Use the type International Air Waybill.

Regulations

All international shipments will follow IATA Rules for shipping.

Shipping Tips

  1. Make sure your shipment is accepted at least 360 minutes prior to flight departure.
  2. Make sure shipment is properly packaged.
  3. Make sure all documents are complete.

Packaging

Shipments must be packed so as to insure safe carriage with ordinary care in handling and so as not to injure or damage any persons or property.
